I need to know why dirt socks end on the floor less than one foot from the dirty laundry hamper. Is this a power play on the part of ones spouse? Does he think he is contributing to my physical fitness? Did his Moma let him get away with this, or is it revenge because she didn't. Does he like to punch my buttons and hear my complaint? After 50 years I still haven't a clue. Do you?

Thats an easy one. Obviously he threw them at the hamper but missed. He meant to pick them up, but as he went to so it, you asked him to do something and he forgot. At least thats how it happens for me.

Ya, right, that is why they are laid out so neatly. No sale here. Thanks

At least they are neatly laid out. They could just be thrown anywhere.

hello savypat lol at you! i know what you mean about one dirty sock on the floor like that not hitting the dirty clothes hamper. duh, if both of them do not make it in the dirty clothes like that, then bend over and pick the other sock up and put it in the dirty clothes hamper. lol how hard is it? lol you know? but yeah, after about twelve years with my hubby now, i am still picking up one sock like that myself and it usually happens almost everyday. i usually do not say anything to my hubby at all about leaving just one sock in the floor like that, i will go ahead and pick up the sock and put it in the dirty clothes basket myself. lol i have even found one dirty sock like that of his in the mornings when that i am making our bed up for the day, up under the sheets. lol take care and have a beautiful day today!

I am glad to hear of this complaint. This is much better than the conflict between nations and races. I hope you find some solution to your questions. Cheers!!

I had fun at my husband's expense on this, I really can't say he's lazy, I think this is just a bad habit. Thanks

LOL..hi savypat! I don't know why he must do it but I can relate. My girls come in and socks go one way and shoes the other They have gotten a little better but it makes no sense to me why they don't just put the socks in the hamper and their shoes in their room.lol..It does kind of sound like he was trying for a three pointer and missed though.

Mine does it too. With him, it's not a power play. It's just he's on automatic when he comes home. He sees the hamper, but throws the socks next to it. He's just not seeing that it is a hamper, it's automatic not to throw socks on furniture so he tosses it next to it. We used to 'speak' about it constantly. I finally gave up. My rule is, if the socks aren't in the laundry room by wash day, tough. I ain't picking them up, and I won't do a partial load. Sometimes he runs out of socks and has to go buy more. But he doesn't forget very soon after that!!

Hi. I have the same unanswered questions...and more of the same problems in my home. I totally blame it on my mother-in-law for mot making him pick up anything. . That's the easiest thing to do. lol I am sure that I am not the only one out there blaming the MIL. Nadine
