I have several friends who still cater to their children, meaning young adults. Do you fix all your kids meals or are you teaching them how to cook, and being self sufficien?. I notice that my mom, who has my nephew and sister living with her, caters to my nephew, he is 25, she makes sure he always has a lunch and she cooks dinner for all 3 of them. I taught my kids how to cook, and they were responsible for dinner one nite of the week, they had to plan the menu, I would buy the grocerys they didnt have to clean up. So are you teaching your kids to be self sufficient and able to not depend on you to cook or fix that sandwich?

My daughter is 8. She loves to cook. She says she would like to have her own cooking show. Until recently I didnt allow her to do much more than just stirring things. It was hard for me to realize she's getting older and can handle more.
