how much do you think you can change your body in 6 weeks?

I have been home now almost 3 months (unemployed). when i was working 12 hour days, i often skipped meals but was physically active. being home, i got lazy, depressed and often dressed in my "sloppy" clothes. you know, yoga pants and loose shirts. the inactivity and the winter (not wanting to take a walk-too cold) has had a negative effect on my once better body! I am going to wake up tomorrow, force myself to do an exercise tape, eat a healthy breakfast, flush my system all day with water with lemon and limit my computer time. My goal is to lose some weight and firm up in 6 weeks time. I think if i stick to it i can do it.

I work 12 hour days now. You definitely have one advantage to being at home more. You can stop running through the drive thru at lunch, etc. I think you can transform your body immensely in 6 weeks. Good luck in your quest!

A healthy weight loss of 12 pounds would be a reasonable goal for 6 weeks. If you exercise then you tone your body so that you could look quite a bit better in those 6 weeks. I joined weightwatchers in October of last year and have to date lost 30 pounds. I am starting to need some new clothes. Good luck and remember exercise isn't the only part of living healthy, you need to eat right as well.

12 lbs I can live with. I need to tone up!! My diet has always been healthy, when I eat. The problem is I got stuck in a bad pattern of skipping meals and not exercising. Getting moving is the tough part!

If I only had the money for new clothes. Exercising is the part my sister has a hard time with too, and me sometimes. When you don't fell good, its hard to be motivated to exercise.

I have the same goal as you. I am going to florida in 6 weeks and just today decided to start following weight watchers again. I am doing my treadmill every night if it kills me. Hopefully we will both have great results in 6 weeks.

You are under a little bit more pressure than I am but motivation like that is great!! We will have results. I don't expect miracles but it will put me on my way!

I think it is probably possible, but I would also focus on the long term and begin with a lifestyle change that incorporates both a healthy eating plan and exercise.

6 weeks is just my short-term goal. Healthy eating hasn't been my issue. It is lack of exercise and skipping meals that I have been awful with.

I think you can make a big difference in 6 weeks.. if you stick to a healthy diet, and workout more often then yes you can make a change for sure. I am a mother of 2 kids, so my body has changed quite a bit.. my youngest just turned 1 and I lost the baby weight last year over the summer (25 lbs) and this year I plan on firming up what is left behind...LMAO, summer is going to be here and I will fit into my clothes but if I can firm up I will look better....LOL so good luck to us both!! 6 weeks is not so bad!!

ok, i am ready to go!! i have 5 kids and i look pretty good for that but there is always room for improvement!!! i just look sloppy and it will do a lot for me to change that. good luck to you1 i think we will both be successful because we want it! i picked 6 weeks to have some kind of a goal but ultimately i am having a lifestyle overhaul because it is necessary.
