I couldn't choose. Not only am I a daughter and the mother of 4 natural and 2 stepchildren, I'm also a grandmother to 9 grandchildren who I love dearly. So, there's no way I could rate any one of them as more or less important than the other. My heart would break equally if something happened to any one of them.

It is the toughest question to ask, very cruel too. However, you are bigninning to think of the dilemma in some cases, when you are short of resources to care both. It is natural you are spending more of your time with the children, and from birth they entirely depend on you to grow up and to learn, and out of nature, you will be giving your focus to them, while parents can manage to live on their own, and plan for hobbies or travel to live along, so quite some people take it for granted they are ok even if without your care. What they do not know is currently a large number of parents are missing the emotional support from their children. Whatever they say about their good being, and however they are considerate for their busy children, no love is too much love. For the sake of avoiding future regret, I guess you better extend your consideration rigth now, either a regular call, or a visit with your family, would be fabulous for the parents, which does not cost you too much resources.

hi, thanks for your response. Actually i have no child, but my elder sister has one. Now she pays more attentions to her child than parents. yes, it's nature, but sometimes i still can not understand her. hmm, maybe ill get it once i become a mother.

Hi Dorayaho, I think both are important, we have to manage time as good as possible to taking care of them both. They are our loving ones, they are our family , right? We should love them and care about them, that is the reason we are living in this world. I have no children yet, but if they came, i still wont forget my parents, cause, without them, i wont be here right now, responding your discussion. Happy posting always, oxox'dian from Bali Indonesia.

As of the moment I have no children but I want to have a family. So, it is safe to say that I love my parents right now. They are the heart of my motivation and they are the ones who's responsible for me going to forward to my life.
