Dog's or Cat's,Which one do you prefer?

I like cats. For several reasons, 1) to me they are cleaner and less smelly than dogs. 2) they are smaller than a lot of dogs--can't stand big dogs they make me nervous. 3) Most dogs love their owners no matter what and that is nice and all, but when you win the affection of a cat--well then to me that is something. Cats can be very affectionate. Mine sleep in my bed and watch TV with me and guard me when I am sick. They are lovely animals. I like dogs--if they belong to someone else. I wouldn't have one personally just because I prefer cats.

definitely dogs. there is nothing better and more comforting in the world than a nice warm dog to snuggle up with. they keep you fit, they love you back, and they don't poo in a box in your house. also, dog poo and wee doesn't smell as bad as cat poo and wee. it smells bad, but less bad. if I'm honest, I don't really like the smell of cats even when they're clean (or covered in cat slobber, if that's clean) it's just a strange, sickly sort of a smell. I'm a dog person through and through.

I'm like De Niro on "Meet The Parents" You have to earn a cat's respect and affection and dogs are pretty much happy to see anyone. Some breeds of dogs are funner though. They are more likely to do tricks and learn commands than cats are. But I feel like the bond is stronger when a cat has established a relationship with their owner, mainly because you have earned their respect. That in itself is not always easy to accomplish, but is very rewarding in the end.

No other animal purrs you to sleep or purrs in your lap. No cat ever barked at nothing and scared you to pieces. No cat ever needs a bath. No cat requires you to walk in the freezing cold, wind, rain, sleet, snow just to pee or poop. I would never be without my cats.

That is pretty easy for me since I am allergic to dogs. I always wanted one but then again you don't have to clean up after cats like you do dogs. Something about a big pile in the yard and me having to clean it up just doesn't do it for me. They seem to be a lot more fun then cats but then again it is back to that old allergy thing.

i really love dogs and i really dont like cats. dogs are very good companions and they really are essential in guarding a house or as a pet. dogs are one of the miracle healers. they eases up stressed for me since my work is very stressful. love to cuddle them up and it eases up all my hard days work.
