Oddly enough, Ugo (for short) I have a little issue with Ac as well! I am interested to see how this discussion goes, because I write on AC and have been published many times, which is exiting, but only 2 to 4 dollars at a time doesn't pay the rent. I write a LOT on eHow.com, and am finally seeing a little jump in my earnings, so maybe you should think about trying there? They don't pay up front, but do pay at 10.00 payout.

Demand Studios, Textbroker and Helium do pay upfront. While not exactly "pay upfront" Constant Content and DailyArticle are both "put your articles up for sale at" sites, which I guess would be pretty close to what you are looking for.

Helium does pay upfront if you have a star for writing and rating. With one star, you get 50 cents upfront plus view money, for two stars, $1 and so on. They also pay an additional $1 for people writing to open articles (that is, titles that have no articles). The disadvantage is that they only pay once a month, so you still receive money faster from Associated Content. I happen to like Helium better, although I write for both sites, because Helium thinks up the topics for you. Good luck with your writing. I'll be looking forward to reading what other people suggest on this question.

I only know of Helium but I don't know how they pay. It seems to take forever to get to the payout amount, especially for someone like me who has no talent for writing. Cheers!!

May I ask how long you've been writing at AC? If you're being reviewed, I'm guessing it's not long: if you're bored already, you're going to get bored at any article site (except Constant Content style marketplaces) - they all work on long-term payback. Your profile also says you're non-US, so you won't get up-front payments from AC. If you're looking to just make some money quickly off writing, your only real options are either to write an awful lot and submit them all for per-view payments (which will be small - I made about a dollar off 25 or so articles on AC in a month) or put everything up for sale on CC and hope people buy them. The Helium marketplace may be another alternative, but you'll need to get your rating star (easy enough these days). And, as someone said, they only pay out each month if you've reached the minimum. Oh, one other option: getafreelancer.com - it sounds like you want to just write something and get paid immediately, so the jobs there might suit you better. Luck!

Helium pays up front if you have writing starts. It is a pretty good site. You can earn via the up front rates, plus pay per view rates. I have been on Helium for a bit now and have written 20 articles. I am working on getting better at writng. This way I can get my first writing star.
