Why are the stars different colors?

that stars are mentioning about your qualification of active with mylot that means you are posting quality posts! congrats to your nine rating! and congrats to reach you hundredth post! when you reach the hundred th post the stars appearing! that's all! see my star, just 4 only! because i am not active with mylot and many times i am answering with one line answers! so do a very big and meaningful post to get a high rank! thanks!

The different colored stars are supposed to represent how others on here perceive you. The highest is a 10 and the lowest is a 1 (any lower than a 1 you apparently lose your star). Everyone on here, including yourself, are supposed to rate others on their discussions/responses with a "+" or "-" though it isn't required to do so. I personally make it a point to rate discussions I respond to as well as try to rate everyone that responds to discussions that I have started. I rarely ever rate negatively, even when someone disagrees with something I said or I disagree with something they said. I will however rate someone negatively if they are cheating their way through here. I've even reported a few of them. Congrats on getting your first star and a red one at that. Very impressive!
