well yes i completely agree to my doctor. I guess whatever a doctor suggest for his patient is always right that's why he is a doctor and we are patient. As a patient it is our duty to trust our doctor and do as directed by the doctor. Otherwise there is no point consulting a doctor if you are not going to agree with him.

In my country, some Doctors just dont deserve the trust, they are driven by the desire to make alot of money out of the patients! No Doctor will treat you if you are poor. i had thought they had vows to their profession which make them serve above self!

I do have a lot of confidence in my doctor but seeing as every one is different I still think there is room for errors there so I think with anything serious maybe one should get a second opinion.

You are absolutely right liaclady! I see it that way exactly and fored to see it from this light because of the kind of Doctors we have in Uganda my country. They are so selfish and greedy.

I trust the doctor I currently have for myself and my sons. Both of them understand that we choose to try alternative methods first and they know we won't accept prescriptions that aren't necessary.
My doctor is the type that will suggest alternative methods first and use antibiotics only when a dangerous infection presents itself.
The way I see it, the doctor works for me. If he has a problem (greed) not being able to write 3 prescriptions for the sniffles, then he/she won't be my doctor for very long. I do respect my doctor's and my sons doctor's opinion, only because I feel we are all on the same page. I guess it boils down to finding a doctor who is concerned about their patients, rather than how many prescriptions they can write each day.
