No for i myself love the color blue but i think u missed concepted it. Being blue is just an expression for us so dont worry were not exactly abusing the color blue :))

Really? I thought black was the color of sadness not blue? My favorite color is blue and I don't think it deserves it :-) Well I don't believe it, not where I am from. Blue is a cheerful color. There is nothing more beautiful than a blue sky and its reflection on the ocean. Take care.

Well; blue as such does not mean sadness . However;too much blue does signifies sadness or a mild depression like feel .

I dont think that the colour blue signifies sadness. i personally like blue clour a lot and even my husband is very fond of blue colour. whenever he has to buy some thing for me he always takes blue colour. so whenever i see blue colour it reminds me of my husband's love. and besides that blue colour also reminds me of my brother-in-laws' marriage as i wore a blue saree on that occasion. if blue colour really signifies sadness how would i be able to wore it on such a happy occasion. i think every colour is God's creation who we are to associate it with any sadness or happiness.
