Many of you had not really gotten the opportunity to meet Sparks and get a tiny peek into her world until the last three days, when FIVE of her discussions made it into the Digest! As you've already aware, she's very funny, creative, highly intelligent and she loves her dog! But seriously, what made you decide to become friends with her? I find her sense of humor creative and funny, with an irreverent bent on society in general. She knows her guns and sticks to them! Let's show Sparks how we feel and start a cyber love fest!

For me it was all about being able to associate with someone that's so far beyond normal, that I can't help but feel normal myself just by being in her presence!
It's not your average human being that's able to make the term "ROFL" into an integral part of their own DNA either and you gotta respect that!

You make a great point! I am NOT afraid to be me when I'm with Sparks--her fiery independence gives me the courage to go against the grain. Now that's something to respect, especially in light of the 'herd' mentality I'm starting to see again!

I have loved sparks for 20 yrs. We are BEST FRIENDS and know everything about each other. We are in constant contact, even though we are now provinces away.
What made ME become friends with her? That's a long, long story. But let's see if I can precis it. We lived next door, so at the time it was a matter of convenience. We both had 2 children, I had 2 girls, she had 2 boys. But they were pretty much the same ages, which was a neat happenstance. She was a great babysitter, the kids adored her. Somehow, her house was always clean, unlike mine. She was a great cook! I am not. She was the best wife, like, very supportive, very forgiving, understanding, generous, always turned the other cheek.
She was a decorating whiz, still is, of course, all of these things I have listed and more.
What's NOT TO LOVE, eh?
I could go on all day, really, but sparks, in a nutshell, is also the friend to have when you are down and out, as she will give you the shirt off her back and more if she can scrounge it up for you.
WE LOVE SPARKS!! Let me hear ya folks!
