New Simpsons Opening Scene

Has anyone watched the new opening for the Simpsons... HDTV and a whole lot of extended scenes showing a lot of recurring characters...
For those who've seen it, What do you guys think? Better or you would still like to stick with the original?

The new opening is basically a result of the movie. I guess they decided to modernize it, so to speak. The HD i understand, but it sort of weirds me out to be honest. I don't really mind the new opening that much, even though I'm not a very big fan of the movie.

Grainy, indeed. Well, they have updated it every few years in terms of animation, which is obvious if you watch one episode from each season back to back. The other thing about the new opening is that the events of the movie also went in to changing it, and not just the new technology.

Y'know... I have fond memories of when The Simpsons first started all those years ago.
The series was so fresh and funny and unique. These days the show has lost so much of it's inital "funny-ness".... it just seems a real shame to lose another thing which tied it to it's glory days.
I can't see the loss of the old intro as anything other than a final nail into the coffin of this once great show.
