My husband had it for about 2 weeks, some days were pretty rough, but he is getting over it now.. I haven't had it and hope I don't get it.. My husband took a flu shot this year and I didn't, so I don't know what that says about the flu shot.. Anyway, maybe the Good Lodr just watches over us idiots who don't take the shot when we should.. Anyway, I am keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't hit me now.. Take care and hope your family gets well soon..

It really HAS been a bad flu year this year! Almost all of my grandson's kindergarten class is out with it...the teacher too. When we called the school to report him off (still) they said that most of the school has it and attendance is really low. I think we've all had it at least once this year. My grandson's so sick he's at the Dr's with his Mom this morning, we just cannot keep his temp down, and he's still really lethargic. What gets me is that it seems to take longer than normal to get rid of. I hope both you and Carl get well real soon!!

Hi louise! I'm so sorry to hear that you and Carl have been sick! I have not had the flu yet this year and it is amazing since I always get it! I have been lucky so far, but I'm not out of the woods yet! There is still time for me to get it! I'm hoping that I won't! We have a stomach virus that is really bad that is going around now. My girlfriend's whole family is down with that right now! I hope you and Carl are feeling better really soon! Take of of yourself!

I think I have the flu right now, the first time in years. Fever, chills, sore throat, headache, aches and pains, upset stomach and so exhausted all I wanted to do was sleep for the last three days. I'm feeling somewhat better, but it's no fun. Since I haven't had it in forever, I don't know if it's worse than usual or not. My daughter has it now, and my sister had it a couple of weeks ago, too, so it's making the rounds.

I have had the Flu actually twice since October, and it is not Fun. I even ended up getting the really Bad cold that is still seeming to go around as well. The main issue is no one seems to be allowed to stay at home when they are sick at work so the Germs keep on being passed around and around to where no one has a chance to get better and stay better as well. But it is NO Fun, and maybe eventually we can all get over this and everyone be OK.

Fortunately I have not had the flu yet, but I hardly go out so I don't get it very often anyway. I hope you get to feel better soon.

Oh yes, we certainly have. My mom had it so bad last week that my dad took her to the ER. She also had another problem that contributed to how badly she fell ill. I stayed with them three nights to take care of her when my dad couldn't. He got the flu next, and then I did. Fortunately, my dad I didn't have near the sickness my mom had when she fell ill. And she had had a flut shot. My dad and I had not.

I hope you and your husband feel better soon Louise. This is the first year that I got the flu shot. I guess I picked a good year for that. I think I'll be getting the flu shot from now on. Usually I get at least a cold, but for me,, I have been feeling really good this winter and so has my family.

My family has been up and down with bad colds and viruses this year. I wouldn't say flu because that is very bad, so no we haven't had the flu. Poor you, and your husband, I hope you get plenty of rest, have a lovely day

Poor thing. Yes, flu can be horrible. We've had coughs and colds here; there's lots going round, but I don't think we've had actual flu. I wonder why it's worst this year compared to other years? This year for the first time, I had a flu jab, as our doctors surgery was offering them to anyone with a special need for them, including people with asthma like me, as well as the elderly and people with immune problems etc.. I know that flu jabs don't always protect against catching the flu as there are so many different strains, but luckily I haven't had it so far. I hope you feel better soon.

hello louiseknittel i hope by now that you are both feeling lots better from the flu that you-all had gotten. ewww, isn't it awful when that you get sick like that? i am so sorry to hear that you-all have been sick with the flu. but my boys and myself didn't have the flu this year, but we did all three have some kind of a virus or something that was going around. we all three got some kind of virus twice this year, and that was gross, throwing up and running to the bathroom at the same time. gross, it was awful. then all of the clean up afterwards, the bed things, the bathroom, washing the dirty clothes. lol you know? well get to feeling better so that all of us around here at Mylot can see all of your new discussions floating our way. take care and have a beautiful evening.

My sons were supposed to come over on Saturday to help finish framing the basement, but everyone had the flu and they could not come. Everyone had the flu. So we were expecting them over tonight because tomorrow is my birthday and I will be out tomorrow. Now my daughter-in-law's father had to go to the hospital for some tests, so they will probably be over either Saturday or Sunday after four. I am over 65, so I got the shots plus shots for some other thing - so I am all right and my husband got his flu shots already. Good thing too I tend to get bronchitis.

I had it about a month ago and it was horrible...at one point I thought I was going to pass out! I also pulled a muscle in my back while throwing up....and it took about four days to get over it until I finally felt like myself!

Oh no!! I'm sooo sorry to hear this!! I hope that you've been to the doctor and now that your hubby is sick, he really needs to see a doctor! People die from the flu so it's all the more important that you both go see a doctor and soon! Please, don't wait, it's very dangerous! Also, if you can, get some lysol spray and spray the whole house, door knobs, bathroom fixtures, bed linens, everything you see and touch. That way you're killing the germs and won't be passing it back and forth to each other. Now both of you, GET WELL SOON!!

None of us have been too sick yet this year. *knock on wood* I have had some sinus issues and so have the kids, but no full blown flu. The kids both got flu shots this year, so that might be part of the reason I have not gotten really sick. No sick kiddos to get it from.

Hi..Yes, we're suffering here too, well I'm just now getting over the flu, I had it about a month, I'm still fighting a little frog in my throat but I feel alot better, but now my husband's got it, he started feeling sick over the weekend. Our weather here is so crazy, its cold one day then warm the next, I think that's why so many ppl are getting sick.

The flu came and went, earlier this Winter. Fortunately it wasn't a bad flu. I hope you and yours get over it and back on your feet and stay healthy
