I have been reading all of the young adult vampire books that i can get my hands on. and yes, i started reading all of them before twilight became HUGE! i think that at least 95% of all the books i read either have vampires- or fairies- or withches in them. i find those sort of books interesting. my best friend and i swap books because we like the same stuff. thats how we became so close. if you do like reading these kind of books which one are you reading now? right now im reading harry potter and the goblet of fire because my friend said i have to read them all before the next movie comes out - but i just finished a book called eternal the other night.

I will not say that I read YA vampire books, but I'm a big Paranormal Romance (PNR) fan, although once in a while I do read some Urban Fantasy. My favorite vamp series would include JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood, Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed series and Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark. In the Urban Fantasy, I enjoy Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blakes series and Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse series. I'm big on anything paranormal and I know that the YA section is producing its fair share. I have Vampire Academy and House of Night series in my TBR pile. I'm always on the lookout for good recommendations in the genre.

Thanks for the suggestions. Some of them are already in my TBR list, some are new. That simply means more books to read..LOL

I am a big paranormal reader. I mostly read adult vampire books now like Laurell K Hamilton or Kim Harrison. But if you are the young adult reading level I can suggest two authors from when I was younger. L.J.Smith has a 4 part vampire series (called the Vampire Diaries) plus some other great paranormal series, One about a demon was great and is still one of my favorites called the Forbidden Game series. Also Christopher Pike which did some great paranormal young adult novels has a vampires series and a great novel called Road to Nowhere and one called Remember Me. His are sort of paranormal/Horror usually as a morality tale. I like all his books when I was younger. You should definitely checked those two authors out if you haven't read any of there stuff before. They seem to be available on Amazon.

I haven't really been able to get into the craze of the vampire youth adult books. I have gotten into the Underworld movies and am fasinated with vampires, but I am not sure if I want to read twilight right now, I may try something different in the romance aisle I see a lot of books I want to read.

Hello, if you are into adult vampire books but don't know what are the new titles then might want to join goodreads.com as a lot of new (and old) book authors share their latest titles on that site. You can also rate and give reviews to the books that you have already read.

Yes, I'm into young adult vampire books. Have you read the Darran Shan books? I think they are brilliant. I think there are nine books in total in that series. Something else I've read recently and really enjoyed, although it's more a dark faerie tale, was Tithe, by Holly Black. I think you might like that, the heroine is quite unique.
