I had our daughter just before my 30th birthday. I waited six years to get pregnant after a miscarriage when we were first married. It was a hard time to wait but I spent the time helping others and reading up on the whole process. Now my daughter is in her twenties. It was a perfect time for me and isn't it funny that when you first look as that precious child, you really are not thinking about your age. May God bless you and your family and give you wisdom throughout everyday of your mothering adventure.

Hello I was a young mom I got pregnant at 15...and had my son when I was 16. His father and me are still together and just bought our first house. I too was on bed rest from 24 weeks, until 38 weeks. I was in school still, and when i was put on bed rest my school set me up with homeschool, so I had the teacher come in 5 hours a week. 2 hours 2 days a week, and 1 hour another day. I graduated high school, and then i got my diploma in web design...i did this online so i could enjoy that time with my son. He is now 6 turning 7 this July.

hi cherriemae :) thanks for sharing and i know being a single mom is not that easy but i know God will bless you because you are still there for your daughter :) You child is blessed too to have a mom like you ;)... i have lot of friends that are single moms as well but they are coping up..having a child is unexplainable feeling... i know you are experiencing it too ;)... don't mind the father or the SD (sperm donor of your daughter that's what single moms call the daddy coz it's not right to call the fathers of the baby or having an authority to labe them as that if they didn't use this fatherhood figure with their child and face their responsibilities..so there :D) it's not your lost but it's his ;) cheer up! regards to your lil angel!:) happy myLotting!:) Godabless!0=)

I'm 25, and just had my first in January. We had been trying for a baby for two years prior, but had no luck. I had some female problems and was told that I wouldn't be able to conceive. I pretty much gave up hope, but I guess miracles really do happen! I now have a beautiful and healthy baby girl!

I was 28 for my first child, then had my second one at 30. When I'd be in PTA and stuff like that, it seemed like I was the oldest Mom there at the time lol. Back then I had already finished my college education, and was dedicated to my career. I didn't marry til I was almost 26. My first child was definitely a bundle of joy and a gift from God (I felt the same way with my second one too!)

I was 24 when I had my first child. I had been married one year and was thrilled to be a new mom. I took a little time off and then went back to school in the evenings to get my masters degree. Three years later I had #2 baby. Two years after that #3 baby and six years after that #4 baby.

I was 24 when I had my first child, I wanted to be married and have a house before - and so I did. I could have had my children earlier if I wanted, but I think it's some times better to be a bit older, since you seldom gets the respect from other people when you're very young.

i think it's case to case basis in gaining respect hehe :D we just stand for what we are and imply to those people that we deserve the respect ;) it's really good that we have plans especially for our family ;) just my two cents :D thanks for sharing!:) Godabless!0=)

When my husband and I welcomed our first daughter into the world I was 4 days away from turning 26 and he was 27. We had been married for 6 years, so it was about time! ha ha. We are now 32 and 33 and I would like to try to have one more before it's too late. We have a 6 year old and a 17 month old, but the 17 month old has a genetic defect that I found I was a carrier of, so having another child might not be the best idea. If we do have another we will probably need to choose specific eggs, because all my sons will have it and my daughters would only be mildly affected. Hmm...that makes me think of a good discussion topic. I'm off to start one of my own! Happy Mylotting!

i had our first and only child 3 months before i turned 32 and hubby is 36. Quite old heh we've been trying to conceive for 2 years then, but with no luck and then i had a miscarriage. my doctor said we should not try again for 6 months but a big miracle happened 4 months later. with no pressures about getting pregnant and still recuperating with the miscarriage, i got pregnant. i had a very sensitive pregnancy as well, i had preeclampsia ( my blood pressure went high during the pregnancy), so i had to bedrest most of the time.

I was turned 21 while I was pregnant with my first child. That was 23 years ago. I am glad that I had my kids while I was still young. I have found, for me, that my patience have gone right out the window. I enjoy my grandchildren but I am glad that they aren't mine to care for everyday. Enjoy your babies, they grow up faster than you can turn around.

Oh, grandparenting is the stuff. I loved being a mommy with everything I had in me. So I couldn't have imagined that anything could feel better than that. Hang on to your hats because the Grandma thing is way better. If you talk to my mother she will say great-grandchildren are even better than grandchildren. I am not sure my heart will hold out with that much joy in it! Thanks for the response! Have a great night

I had my first child when I was 19 years old. I know to a lot of people that sounds young. My Mother thought it was too. But now that I am 25 and have two children although she was not that happy in the beginning she tells me and everyone else all the time how proud of me she is. She always tells me what a good Mother I am and tells everyone else the same. I am not bragging at all just want to make the point that I am not like most people my age. Anyways now that I am sounding stupid I will hush. Have a blessed day.

I am 28 when my boy comes. Maybe he will be my only child. In our contry, one family is permitted to have only one child. And to feed more than one child is difficult.
