An Aphrodisiac?

Hi and Hello mylotters! ^_^ Last night, I started a new discussion, " Chocolates: Good or Bad?" Then, someone replied that if you are sexually active, chocolates will work for your advantage because it's an aphrodisiac. What do you think? Is it true? ^_^

I really like chocolate anyway. But I think probley atleast somewhat. Because of the natural chemicals in It. And might help in that and also make your mood better to. And chocolate also gives you a quick burst of energy. And chocolate especially dark chocolate has healthy antioxidants In it to.

The guy must be telling the truth. I believe it's a well known fact that chocolates are in fact aphrodisiacs together with garlic and some spices. I really don't know the explanation for it but maybe because it's a stimulant or like it. Did you know that chocolates even uplifts your spirit? I guess chocolates just do have its wonders. You're 21 and still young. Just keep it safe ok?

Based on my research, the reason for this are associated with the observed affects of chocolate on human behavior. It is said that chocolate contains substances called Phenylethylamine and serotonin, both of which are mood lifting agents found naturally in the human brain. They are released into the nervous system by the brain when we are happy and when we are experiencing feelings of love, passion or lust. This causes rapid mood change, a rise in blood pressure and increasing heart rate, inducing those feelings of well being, bordering on euphoria (an emotional/mental state) usually associated with being in love.^_^ For additional info,it can also give substantial energy boost thus increasing stamina, so it's probably these effects which give rise to chocolates reputation as an aphrodisiac. ^_^

maybe it is for some people. personally i never found it to be but i am not big on chocolate.

I can't tell if it's really an aphrodisiac, because even after eating huge amounts of chocolate I don't feel any urge of doing "the act". LoL. But yes I'm a chocolate eater. My favorite would be bittersweet. And by the way I heard that chocolate can actually heal or provide relief for tonsilitis, but it has to be consumed in huge amounts - which we all know is bad because of the sugar content in it. Maybe unsweetened chocolate could do the trick...
