Mardi Gras 2009

Indians blocking traffic - This was taken after the folk ahead of me on the last possible side street I could turn onto to get back to where I was going intersected with a traffic jam of people walking down the middle of the street in an Indian procession.

I usually avoid the madness and stay indoors but I had to go to Frenchman Street today so I decided to take some pictures on the way back. I can only figure out how to add one photo so I guess I will have to start a bunch of discussions to get them all in. This one was taken from inside the car as I was fighting to get through the traffic and make it back to my side of town. A Mardi Gras Indian procession was the hold up in this case and since there was no way to pull over and get better pix all I have are shots of the crowd from behind mostly.

Shhhh! I am at work, so for some reasons pics don't load for this website. So I can't see the pic that you have added here. Also you can add more pics to this discussion by responding to this response. And then any other responses you get you can add pics to them as well.

Yeah, I figured that out but you are the first to respond so thanks for doing that and allowing me to add more pictures, lol. By the time you get home there will be more to view! However now I don't see the link that allows me to upload a photo so then again maybe not. This site is difficult to navigate in many ways. (Sigh) I did manage to post another photo by changing an avatar. Live and learn.
