Are you still not over the hype that was twilight?

twilight - this image reminds me so much of the book and not the film.

I am still to finish the third book. Saw the film and for me it was another let down of all books that were turned into movies that did fail to disappoint its readers expecting so much from the film. There are news about the second film but I am not really looking forward to the third film if there is. Maybe one day I'll try and pick up from where I left on in the book but not anytime soon. My enthusiasm is just not there anymore. I know there are a lots of twilight fans out there. Are you one of them? Are you looking so forward to the upcoming films?

I finished all four novels, and I also read the manuscript of the 5th book, downloaded it from Stephenie Meyer's site. Last week I was able to see the movie. Well that movie was a sure waste of time - even worse than the first book, which I reviewed: http://thingswelovetohate.blogspot.com/2009/01/twilight-crap_08.html Thanks for the response on my discussion!

hello oyenkai! I visited your page and wanted to leave a comment but I haven't read the whole review yet so I will do that once I have the time. I also started a blod about it. And didn't finish the third book yet

I still re-read the books fairly regularly. it's a lovely story, and doesn't take too much concentration to enjoy it. just a bit of cheesy fun, but all the same quite addictive. the films will never live up to the books, but I'll enjoy them all the same.

I like the way you describe it as cheesy fun. I guess we all need a bit of that every now and again. Maybe in my case it was a little bit too much too soon lol. I might get overdosed so I'll lay off the addicting book for a while.

I finished the twilight series and I honestly don't think of them very highly. I don't know what the hype was about. It wasn't even written well. I think it was simply the first time that those kids actually finished a book - there are so many romance novels out there that have better quality. Thanks for the response on my discussion!
