I live in Pampanga... and there are a lot of famous food here... since Kapampangans are know for being creative when it comes to the kitchen... but i think the most famous is Sisig... and we even have a "Sisig Festival" every year... and they come up with different types and styles of cooking this food... like chicken sisig... pork sisig... veggie sisig... tofu sisig... you name it... and they can turn it into a delicious sisig dish...

carrine, Where I am from. It would be the Hainanese Chicken Rice for the Chinese. The dish is basically a plate of rice cooked with chicken broth served with boiled chicken, sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, blended ginger, blended chillies with lime and Chinese thick soy sauce. It is a relatively popular with the working class where it is being preferred when one wants to have a fast meal. There has been other variations over time, where the chicken can be roasted or braised and even cooked in Halal style for the Muslims, who are catching on with this simple and nutritious meal. So, if you do come by to this part of the world, do remember to order a plate. I can assure you the experience is definitely worth it, especially for your appetite for chickens. Cheers.

Hello carrine! I am from the davao city too and I agree with you, our trade mark here is durian. Whenever someone will say durian city, it means davao city. We are known to have the most delicious durian here. One of the popular restaurant here with unlimited rice is whether Banoks or Penongs that cook a well - known chicken barbecue with unlimited rice.

I'm from Malabon (in the Philippines).. My city is known for its seafood and fish sauce (patis). A lot of relatives always ask us to buy them some. Our specialty is also kakanin. (For those who don't know, this is a native Filipino dessert that is sweet and a bit sticky)

Actually, there's many.. We have sapin-sapin, biko, ube, pichi-pichi, etc. There's a store named Dolor's Kakanin which sells in a bilao with the different kakanins. They're starting to get known in Metro Manila. :)
