This is such a trip! I was just talking to my partner who said that Chuck Perkins, who he worked with Monday at the Mother In Law Lounge, told him he received a text message from someone in NY today that Antoinette K-doe had died. We were all just there two days ago and I had pictures I wanted to post. I checked online and apparently she had a hard attack yesterday! Here today... What's almost more outrageous than that is that someone could get a text message from another state about something happening at home! Has this ever happened to you? News sure travels fast!

Not to me personally, but I knew a friend who got a phone call from someone out of town asking if they were okay because they saw on the news that something was happening in Austin and the friend was worried about them. I also know my mom called me the day after the 1980 Memorial Day (talk about timely) flood to tell me the house we had moved out of 7 years earlier had 3 feet of water in it. I had told her that it was going to have water in it in 10 years when we moved out - didn't expect it to be that much tho.

Wow, what a prediction! We are used to getting calls, emails and text messages from out of town about people who are considered even minor celebrities. It's amazing how news travels.

well, we had lived in the house for 10 years and I had been watching the water rise in the creek behind the house all that time, and as more things were built in the water shed the water level in the floods had gone up.
