How much do you spend on food a week?

Just wondering how much everyone spends on food a week and why. Obviously if you live on your own then you're going to spend less than a 5 person family would. I still live with my parents, so I don't really have to think about things like this, but I'm moving out next year so I'm going to have to start to think about it.

well, i have more than 1 year since i`ve been far away from my family. I live in another city now. My parents are still sending me money for rent, taxes, school, food, and, to be honest,i`m trying to spemt less money than they give me, just because we are in a crisis perioud and it will be hard from now on. I must say, that only for me, i spend something like $50/ week, just on food. Sometimes i spent less money, but sometimes, that it`s the amount of money. It`s a little to high, but i`m eating a lot! Hope that i`ll manage to eat less .. because i`m a little fat too, and this will help me too.

Every two weeks we spend about 110 dollars on food..We always buy the necessities and munchie foods because we like to snack. We also buy lots of meats before hand and freeze them.Lots of veggies fresh and frozen and whatever great fruit is in season especially melon..We also buy alot of water and kitty litter...:) Happy Mylotting!
