Dose some of the ps3 games work on the ps2 system?

Iv bean wondering if some of the ps3 games work on or with ps2 or not, dose anyone know if some of the games for ps3 work on ps2 I see that there making more games for ps3, and less for ps2 and so, i'd really like to know if any of the new games for the 3 system will work on 2?

No, you can not play PS3 games on the PS2. The PS3's games are put on a Blu-Ray disc while PS2 games are put on a DVD disc. No newer model PS3 will play PS2 or PS games though the original 80 and 60 gigabyte consoles will. I own the original 80 gigabyte console and it play almost every PS2 and PS game.

No. You can play PS2 games on the PS3 but not the other way around. If you could there wouldn't be any reason to upgrade your system ( the company wouldn't have that you know ).

Hi ya apples99 As far as I know you can't use PS3 games on a PS2 but you can use the PS2 games on a PS3 and you can use PS games on all three! Here in the UK they seemed to have stopped selling new PS2 games but you can still get reasonable priced second hand ones that work ok!
