Needlework Shoppe--Craft Catalogs, do you ever buy anything from them?

I get these craft catalogs in the mail all the time from places like the Needlework Shoppe and other stores. They always have such pretty cross stitching patterns and kits in them but they are always so expensive, some of them over $100. I always look as say, gosh I'd like to have that one if I could afford it, but I don't have that kind of money so I never buy any of them. Do you get these magazines? Do you ever buy anything from them or do you just look and dream?

I love dreaming and looking in all sorts of catalogs. Sometimes people ask if I'm considering buying whatever it is. No I'm not. I can't afford to by anything. It's just eye candy for me.

I actually found some cross stitch kits at a dollar store once. If you look around you can find deals though these places don't carry that kind of stuff ongoing. Have you tried searching online for clearance specials on cross stitch and other crafting supplies? Maybe some of the craft supply companies allow you to shop online. Amazon.com is a good source also. Sometimes people buy stuff that they never use and then they sell it cheap online. Happy hunting!

I do that alot. Get them off the clearance isles at craft stores or using 40% coupons and the like. You can get a deal on craft items. Its just that a lot of the items in the catalog I mentioned are not carried by regular retailers and they can be hard to find, let alone find cheap. But you can find deals on kits and such on ebay and other sites, you just have to be patient, which can be hard sometimes.
