Do you ever get this feeling, you went through college, and you never get the job that you really want, which related to what you studied. Don't you ever think that will waste your precious time, and money to get through college? At the end, you don't get what you want.

I think so as i found out that my degree from a local tech school may be one of the many that was considered "bogus" that they offered. I went for Apparel marketing hoping to become a buyer, well found out i needed a 4 yr degree and that there are only 2 companies with buyer training programs and one of them was next to impossible to get into. so honestly it felt like i got an associates degree to be a retail cashier

I graduated from a university four years ago. I would say that I waste some time then. I spent some time to play online games. It makes me lose the chance to learn more. The time in college is the best phase for a young man. So if I can get everything back, I will cherish that time.

I am a fourth year college student and I will be marching on next month. I will graduate from my course Bachelor of Secondary Education. I was forced to take that course and I have no choice so I obeyed my parents. And I don't have any interest to pursue this kind of proffession because in the first place I don't want to be a teacher so I think I just wasted my time studying that course.

I took up Public Administration and Governance. It is a four year college course and most of the jobs that require this course are government jobs but mostly clerical positions. I never really wanted this course. I have always wanted to take Tourism because of my dream to become a Flight Stewardess. But I had no choice when I was enrolling in college because I enrolled late. The two courses that have slots open are the Department of Political Science and Public Administration and the Department of Economics. Since I prefer more analytical studies and more on writing I took up the course I mentioned. I could not afford taking Tourism aside from the fact that the department is already course. So I had no choice. I ended up graduating with the course I never really wanted. Good thing is that I have graduated with flying colors. I may not be as good as I was before now but still I have few regrets because I should have look for other schools. I enrolled last week of May 2002 and during that time it is very hard to look for a school because most schools have high tuition fees. My tuition fee in the university was only less than 500 pesos ($10.00) every month and I even became a scholar for the last two years of my college years. So I have no big expense except for books and school projects. I wish I could just have taken any computer course. I had no choice before because my relatives were the ones who sent me to school. They can't afford to pay high tuition fees in other school. My attention now is driven to learning more on computers which is a requirement to most of the jobs out there. Good thing I got hired to call centers and I once became technical support to some accounts. So I guess I should be luckier if I took up some computer course before. My course is a preparatory course for law. I thought I would want to become a lawyer but winds change. Whenever I apply in some government agencies they never have vacancies and in some private companies they always prefer accountancy or psychology graduates. I felt frustrated during those times I was not hired but good thing there are a lot of call centers now that do not require a particular course but just knowledge in computer and good communication skills.

I am a registered nurse by profession. I passed the local board last 2007 and until now I don't have any hospital experience, meaning I haven't worked as a nurse in a hospital. Guess what, I work as a call center agent, which is not related to my profession but I never think that I wasted any time in college. I'm even more grateful that I have graduated and was able to have a license.
