hi..... i am 26 and used to be asthmatic...used to be!!!! whenever asthma attcked me before i hardly slept and walk....one movement then would cause me to grasp for my breath almost endlessly....really!!!!! it used to be like that on and off, just a little walk, jog, dust, smoke and everything used to cause me allergic reaction and will trigger my asthma..... but when i had a swimming class in college, first, i didn't notice then that my tolerance to cold and dirt and extra movement were getting higher and higher....and then months went by then years went by without asthma.....really!!!! then i spoke to someone that had her daughter enrolled in a swimming class last summer,,she claimed that her daughter used to be prone with cough and very often they tend to bring her to doctor just to prescribed anti-biotics for cough....then they noticed just recently that it has been almost a year after that swimming class and her daughter didn't suffer one bit of cough months back....though she's not scientifically claiming that it is because of that swimming class but she said that one's exposure under water will boost your lungs capability, i don't know, i am not a doctor to explain this thoroughly but my advice for those suffering asthma....why not try to enroll to a swimming class this coming summer, or if not, try to swim more ofter this summer. just try... nothing to loose, all to gain...fun and health, right?
