The "octomom"

It seems that everyone has something to say and some opinion that they think matters about the mother of the octuplets here in California. I have watched this story unfold from the first breaking news story when they announced that Nadia had had 8 live children. The press has since sought to villify and defame her, since they learned that she was on foodstamps and that she is unemployed with 6 other children at home under age 6. I feel like the bottom line is that these babies are here now, and that reality must be dealt with. I think it is insane the way that the paparazzi are camped out at her home, with news helicoptors flying over her home day and night. Don't they realize that this in and of itself is stressful to a new mother. Now they are trying to take her children away from her! I think they are definitely wrong on that! They should evaluate her later, if at all, not now when the insanity of a media blitz is swirling around her and after the babies are home. I don't think that she is going to abuse them nor neglect them. On the other hand her and her father have both been on television talking about how much she loves all of her kids and all, they act like they are completely unaware that it takes a whole lot more than love to raise a child! I am not quite sure what the solution to this whole mess should be, but I think the media are blowing this whole thing way out of proportion! I also think that a lot more people everywhere need to learn to mind their own business and leave others alone as long as they are not breaking the law or hurting anyone. My BF is the youngest(#2) of a mother with 13 brothers and sisters and a father who has 14! So they are definitely proof that even with a family of 14 children the children can be raised with dignity and love. They weren't all comparable in age and I am sure that his grandparents had them the old fashioned way 1 or 2 at a time. But regardless of how the choice was made, or whether it was a smart choice or not, as I mentioned the babies are here now. What do you think both of what she has done, and how it is being covered in the press?
