Is There a Need to update the maps in Google Earth?

Hi friends... I am very interested in travelling. Few days back i just used google earth to visit places i already visited during my tours. In that process i also visited a few places in India like Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai. These are the places i visited during my tours. To my shock i didnt see many places in google earth i visited before 1 year. I think goolge team didnt update its database from the last 1 or 2 years. But they are updating the software only. Do u feel that it is the time to update the database? Did you experienced this situation any time?
