President Obama today unveiled his "10 year spending plan" for America. I believe it is quite telling that it is called a "spending" plan rather than a economy rebuilding plan. The article I have linked to points out that even though Obama states he will pair the deficit in half, his starting point is a phenominal 1.75 TRILLION dollars and thought his projected deficit for 2019 is 712 billion, his plan will succeed in more than DOUBLING the national debt to over 23 TRILLION dollars! I can't even imagine what the interest payment on that much money will be! One thing is certain, the American dream, as far as our grandchildren and their offspring go, is just exactly that; a dream, pure fantasy! By the time my great grandchildren grow up and aquire one of Obama's created "jobs" they will be having to work 6 to 8 months out of the year just to pay uncle sam! Here is the article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20090226/pl_politico/19365 How can America, in good faith and consideration for future generations, follow this kind of blind trial and error economics into the demise of our country? If America and all that goes with being American is a prize you feel is worth fighting for, then the time is now! We must, absolutely MUST convince our elected officials that this direction will lead to disaster for our country and all of her future generations! Am I the only one with these convictions or does anyone else see this disaster happening before our very eyes?

I don't have the least bit of trouble seeing exactly what you are talking about. I have said this before and I will repeat it here. It looks like someone for some unknown reason is trying very hard to crash our economy. I believe this goes back even before Bush was elected the first time. At least I believe the plans go back that far. If this is the case then Bush and his big money buddies outside the government are behind it. To me it is also looking like Obama is a part of it. If not he couldn't do a better job to wreck everything even if he tried. It will take a few more months but we will have more answers to a lot of our questions. I think this is one that will be answered and when it is all H*ll will break loose within this country. Yes I agree if you think the past 8 years were bad just wait, you ain't seen nothin yet. Art

Arkie, Greetings from the southwest part of our state. America is headed for a disaster that will make the great depression look like a Sunday afternoon picnic! The sad part is that our grandchildren and their children will be the ones who suffer and they didn't even have a say!

Hi Rodney, Very few people have any idea just how bad this thing is going to get before it even starts improving. The last depression won't be anything compared to what we see. We are going to see a side of mankind we have never seen before. It wouldn't take much and our supermarket shelves could be empty in a matter of a few days. Just the loss of our electricity would put this nation on their knees. We lost our electricity for almost 3 weeks in 1996 due to a tornado and we had to drive completely out of the effected area to buy anything. About half the town was blacked out and nothing was open. If it had been the entire area we would have been in big trouble. If we had half the terrorist problem we are being told we do we would have already lost power over some large areas in this country. One man on a 4 wheeler with a cutting torch strapped to it can bring down one of the large cross country power lines in just a few minutes. A dozen of them could black out half the country. Right now we are in THE most dangerous positions we have ever been in. It is coming from within our own country created by a bunch of greedy rich people that need to be stood against a wall and shot. Arkie, I know what you mean! The ice storm of Christmas 2000 knocked the power out here for a week in most places and I found out one thing; most people don't have a clue of how to cope without the comfort that electricity provides. What most people aren't thinking about is that the economy may force many people to voluntarily live without many comforts that we have come to know as "necessities"!

Well,America spoke and Obama's what they wanted.Maybe in 4 years I can go around saying the word change and get elected President.I think people are slowly starting to see the light.Obama's approval rating has dropped 9% in just 3 weeks. Of course, our Vice-President seems to be worse. He just says things off of the top of his head without knowing the facts. They could make a movie about these two.I don't know what they'd call it though.Dumb and Dumber has already been taken.

Biden needs somebody to give him the "number" for the website he is supposed to be in charge of, uh it's not a number, it's a web address or URL needed - and people thought GWB and McCain were "out of touch"? Joe 'Gird yer loins' Biden takes being "put of touch" to a whole other level!

No, my friend -- you are definitely not alone. There are any number of angles to pursue in discussing this issue. Though, I find it near impossible to shake the overwhelming fury that these tyrants in DC inspire as they effectively enslave our most innocent citizens, our wee little ones. My nephews and grandson have had no part in this ideological battle. They neither know, nor care who Bush, Paulson, Bernacke, Obama, Pelosi or Reid are. Yet, they will be required to pay for the sins of a few who cognizantly ignore history and willfully imperil our nation. I try to keep a sense of humor about most things, but I'm unable to do so on this issue. I firmly believe that it is a criminal act to force debt on those who had no part in the play. Call it any of the many appropriate terms: fraud, deceit, extortion, cowardice, narcissism, etc... No matter what label we put on it, it is unforgivable!

Hello Kitty, What's so very frustrating is that the Logan Act violation included both the Iraqi PM and Hamas. Yet, not a word from the press about it. It is indeed a very dangerous precedent to allow anyone to conduct themselves above the law!

Hey Lady! Lets just be honest and call it treason to destroy our country and rob our children of their future and be don with it already! Hell, we could get for his pre-election treason too (Logan Act violation whilst in Iraq). Has anyone looked into the possibility of impeachment yet?

I agree with your prognosis for our country. I honestly do not know of any politician who will actually do anything about the problems if it is not to his own political advantage. IMO most of them are just as greedy as the people who caused this problem by feathering their own nests and to hell with rest of us.

The 0bamunist has repeatedly categorized the Bush Administration's Economic Policies as 8 years of failure. By his own words, as compared to his own economic policies, the the0bamunist has already far surpassed Bush's spending over his 8 years in office, and he did it in just over the first month in office. The 0bamunist has already failed.

I see it and I am not an American. The trouble is that the ones who voted for Obama believed he could do no wrong. So Americans will pay for it. Not only will he tax the rich more heavily (I saw the tax rates and they are more then we have in Canada for the wealthy) but he will make the middle class non existent because once he runs out of rich people to tax, he will include the middle class in this tax grab. Working six to eight months in a year just to pay taxes is not the way to go.

"Am I the only one with these convictions or does anyone else see this disaster happening before our very eyes?" No rodney, your not. I was sounding this alarm months before the election. People are waking up droves and waking up extremely PISSSED. Except for those who cannot yet seem to pull their heads out of their party's assses. Everyone has a tipping point, but the bulk of the mainstream hsnot yet had that point hit yet, YEt, there will come a point, a time, an event, an action, that will simultanoiously push a massive amount of the population to their common tipping point and this candle is gonna light up.

You're not alone, I almost choked when he unveiled his plans for a 3.6 TRILLION dollar budget just for this year alone! The guy talks out both sides of his mouth and both ends of his body when in one breath he quadruples the deficit and in the next says he's going to halve it, which when you do the math, half of what he has increased the debt to be will still be double what it was before he started spending! Every time he opens his mouth on economic matters, the market dives. Coincidence? I think not. Do we really have to allow four years for him to destroy us before we can do anything about it? In 4 years there may be nothing left of our once great nation left to save or fight for!
