A good Samaritan who helped push three people out of the path of a pickup truck before being struck and injured has gotten a strange reward for his good deed: A jaywalking ticket.Moffett suffered bleeding in the brain, broken bones, a dislocated shoulder and a possible ruptured spleen. He was in serious but stable condition Wednesday. He was helping elderly cross the street, for pete's sake! http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090226/ap_on_fe_st/odd_good_samaritan_ticketed

I heard about this on the news. I actually thought about paying the poor guy's fines for him. How much do you think a ticket for jaywalking could cost?

That is just so messed up..I mean he should be getting a reward for saving their lives while endangering his own. He should get one of those hometown Hero awards that we hear about on television. I am thinking that they have no respect for people who try to saves someones life in that town...

That is very messed up. So I guess the police issuing the ticket would have preferred that the driver of the pick up truck kill or seriously injury the pedestrians.
