Why or why not? I am just curious to see your responses. Tell me about the good and bad experiences you have in train journeys.

By train is my favorite way to travel. I live within walking distance of a train station. When I am in my home country I often travel by train. I have traveled in different countries by train too. So far in my life I have traveled by train in Europe, the USA, Kenya, Australia and New Zealand. In the day time I enjoy sitting in a comfortable seat with lots of legroom and at night I like to sleep in a bunk in a compartment. The train I went on from Cairns to Brisbane had a club loco car. I went on some really scenic trips in New Zealand. Whilst eating breakfast on the train in Kenya I spotted a giraffe from the window. I arrived at my destination at midnight, some five hours late, in the USA and was given a free half an hour taxi. One time was on a night train and I wasn't sure if I had to change trains. All travelers were uncertain. I did and it was the right choice because I arrived where I wanted to go. I got a train ticket in one minute in Romania and made the train within the next minute. Wow! That was my quickest departure and it proved an interesting journey.

i've never traveled by train before, but im sure its an experience. i like to fly. i would like to travel by train at least once in my life, i hear the scenery is beautiful, but other than that it seems like it would be pretty boring cause it usually takes longer than flying LOL

No i don't like traveling by train simply because we've got no nice train transportation system here in our country.. i hate it! i hope the government would do something to improve it... you know, if that happens, a lot of commuters would be very happy and comfortable because they will be spared from traffic which has been a long term problem here...

i dislike travelling by train. The compartment is stuffy and cramped. i can't stretch my legs, sitting in a hard very umcomfortable seat, and for short trip like 3-hour trip, it's very hard to get a seat al atll, that means i have to stand for all those hours and stay almost one position.

yes. simply because it's fast, cheap, comfortable, and convenient for me. depending on my destination of course. as long as i'm not bringing too much stuff with me, i have no reasons to go for a taxi cab instead of taking the train. and i enjoy the scenic ride everytime

I like traveling in a train. I always prefer window seat for this reason. I like the view that I get while crossing several beautiful places.I prefer talking to other people too,who are sitting beside me.Most of the time those people are so friendly.

I hate travelling by train during long trips, even though I travel in AC compartment in trains. It is boring and we need to wait for a long time. I like metro trains within the city for easy travel because they won't be affected by traffic blocks.

Well i do love going by train.. MAinly coz it is not as slow as road travel.. You reach the detination a little faster (not in indian railway though..) And the scenery is quite good.. you do not need to stop in traffic signals or get stuck in a traffic jam... And rail accident are quite less as well... compared to the road accidents..

I do like travel by train. I enjoy the slow pace and the relaxing atmosphere. I do not know if I would like an extended trip (more than one day). The things I do not like about going coach is sometimes the train gets really crowded and there is not much room to move around. A lot of times there is little or no food for purchase. It is advisable to bring extra food. As with any other kind of public transportation, sometimes you just get placed near someone that you do not particularly hit it off with. All in all I think a train trip for a weekend is a great adventure.
