Are you a girl with a mustache? Do you wanna get rid of it? Are you a guy? Do you find it awful for a woman to have such? Should women do something to get rid of it?

I don't think women should have mustaches. They should pluck, wax or bleach.

I hope the bleaching won't make it turn white. If that would happen, she would look like she had whiskers. LOL

Ha ha! Of course the female mustache is unbecoming! Can you even name a culture, any culture in the world where men wouldn't be bothered by a mustache on a woman? Umm no, because men do not like female facial hair period! I have seen women before that have those mustaches you're referring to and I have to say it does look pretty bad. Obviously they must have a hormonal issue to have that amount of hair there. I myself might get about 3 or 4 stray hairs that will grow there and I automatically wax them off. Don't like any unsightly hairs anywhere on my body, but I've never had a full mustache no and if I did, I would definitely go to my Doctor about it and get some kind of prescription cream, because this woman would probably have very high testosterone levels compared to her estrogen. Anyway ladies, only guys are supposed to have mustaches, so if you have one, well you know what to do...!

Interesting...You know recently I actually read a book about the life of Cleopatra, and nowhere did it say she wore a beard? She wore all these headdress type wigs, but no mention of a beard, then again not much is really known in detail about her life.

Maybe the author didn't want to expose that fact for a reason! LOL....just joking. I dont know which book it was that I have read. Or where the heck I got that fact from. But I'm sure I learned it somewhere. Discovery channel perhaps? That channel seems to discover some long unknown truths anyway! But for sure, it IS unbecoming for a woman to have a beard or a mustache!

Ummm.....I'm not really into international cultures but I have learned somewhere that Cleopatra had to wear a beard because she was a pharaoh, and they believed that a pharaoh is one of the gods I think, and they also believed that gods always had beard! But so far, I havent heard of any group rallying against their bearded queen! Harhar...Im not even sure of the facts at all but that's as far as I remember. I do guess most people on earth prefer mustacheless women.

Hey Theresaaiza! I think that it is very unbecoming for a female to have too much facial hair! I wonder how some females can walk around looking like they do and not do anything about it! Don't they see themselves? I have seen some women who have more hair on their faces then men! My goodness, do something about it! There are too many ways to get rid of it these days! Why would you want to walk around that way?

They probably evolved from she-werewolves. I think the reason why they don't bother to get rid of it is the fear that they may be maintaining something for life as these facial hairs always grow back in time. Sometimes leaving it as it is puts you on a safer side. BUt if there was a permanent means to get rid of these I'd be the first to line up although my problem really isn't that severe. People only notice it when they look closely enough. Other than that, it's not noticeable.

hahaha, a goatee... lol well, I was wondering how to get rid of teensy winsy hairs on my upperlip too sniff sniff... I don't feel good about them even though they're very thin and just a few... although, body hairs are really natural but as a woman, I don't like mustache no matter how lil it is lol... but for a guy, some stubbles look sexy, don't you think? lol but I'd still go for a clean shaven guy... wooot! =^-^=

Stubbles become itchy when you're hugging or kissing and his beard keeps brushing on my cheek. Later I'd develop small red rashes that disappear the next day. Small red rashes, plus a thin mustache! Gee, what a life!

I do realize that many women have a constant challenge with facial hair on the upper lip especially and all due respect to them; but I do have to say that it is very unbecoming for a woman to have a moustache! I don't know much about how women manage things like this, but I'm assuming bleaching, waxing and plucking are among some of the methods used.

I wonder how it started to become unbecoming, though. LOL. I mean a lot of movements for a gender fair society have been made but how come it still never looks good on women? :-D

I think we all get these as we get older, some have them when young, but with age it comes to all. I pull mine out, It drives my crazy, My husband eyes are getting so bad he can't see it, and I must admit I have to put my glasses on to see it, but I can feel it and I know it's there. Old age ain't for sissies.

I'm a girl. Although I don't have it at all, I have little hair on my face near my upper lips. I do nothing about it I just ignore it. My mom said that it would grow thicker if I shave it!!! Hahaha!!
@Theresaaiza (10487)

right, don't shave it as it will only grow thicker which would be a bigger problem in the end. If it's not causing you any problem or self-esteem issues then just let it live in peace. :-D

I never had a mustache until recently. It is pretty thin but I hate it! I either pluck it out or wax it off. I would never shave it. I have a friend who did that and it was hideous as it was growing back.

Gross! LOL. Exactly, shaving only makes it thicker. I, too, pluck mine out. Does waxing clear it away longer than plucking?

Pulling a band-aid off isn't that painful except when the encrustations are pulled along and the wound bleeds again. Now that's painful! :-D I could probably find a kit somewhere and I'll probably wax my underarms and God-knows-where in a do-it-yourself manner.LOL Can I? Or should a professional do it?
@playapal (894)

Yes, I think it does. It's a little painful, kind of like pulling a bandaid off. But, at least it's all done at once, not a lot of little twinges. You can pick the kits up at any grocery store in the health and beauty section. I can even find them here in Mexico!

I am a girl and luckily I do not have a mustache. I can't imagine myself having one too. There are girls that I see with an obvious mustache and I find it very annoying. I wonder why they do not get rid of it. There are available hair laser removal treatment. And what could be worse than also having very hairy armpits for women. I also find it disgusting :(

HI bubble, in some countries, they find it attractive to have underarm hair but our own culture and practices dictate otherwise. In fact, health enthusiasts discourage plucking underarm hairs as they serve as protection for our lymph glands that are located there. That's why I don't shave very often, except when I'm planning on wearing sleeveless. Lasers cost so much so maybe that's why some women just don't mind. Im lucky that my mustache isn't that thick. It's hardly noticeable so I just pluck it when I'm in the mood.

don't you find it cute if the girl has very thin mustache? you probably have an idea what i mean when i say very thin mustache. i know some guys find that attractive the so called "balbon". but the thick obvious mustache does not really good. yeah, i think in european countries the girls have underarm hairs. and really hairy at that. plucking is really not recommended and could give you chicken skin. shaving is better especially like you've mentioned only when there is a need to wear sleeveless. and you are right with the laser treatment, it is somewhat expensive. The Sally Hansen hair removal products are more affordable. :)

I think this is a big problem for some girls, the just lose their confidence! I think most women have a tiny bit of hair, that seems normal. I saw a woman with a beard recently! It actually was! A lot of people have said "Are you sure it wasnt a man?" but it wasnt, i would never grow a beard! As for on guys, i like it all shaved off, or it in a style. I dont like a full beard and mustache, that just doesnt look nice! They wouldnt like it if we were all hairy so why should they be allowed to be!!

Yes there are women who had to face such a problem. As for men, in fairness, some do look good with beard on that they keep trimmed and should I say, disciplined? hehe, meaning, they manage to keep it in order and in a certain length. It actually adds drama to the face!

It's not really awful but something like uncomfortable to see. I wouldn't mind if it's just balahibum pusa. But if it's thick enough to be mistaken for a man, then i guess she must do something about it. For her own good. But i do understand females with moustache, i guess they're just afraid to make them thicker by pulling or shaving them.

I have a very thin mustache and sometimes, I pull them out because shaving them only makes them thicker. It isn't uncomfortable to look at. It's AWFUL! No point in arguing with that. LOL

Ofcourse women should get rid of it! It doesn't look too good on a woman to have a mustache. It looks awkward and some women might also lose their confidence. There are lots of easy methods to get rid of them, so why not do it. I prefer clean shaven men as well. I don't like them to have a mustache or a beard regularly. But once in a while its okay to experiment with different styles. Have a nice day.

HI nikky, sometimes I find it sexy when my boyfriend grows his beard but not grow it so long he'd look like a hermit. :-D At times, though, I just wish he was clean-shaven.
