Do you think marriage is necessary?

Is it necessary that you and your spouse has to formally enter a wedlock if you love someone? I have also heard people saying, especially celebrities that you need to get married because you don't have enough trust in the other. What is your take on this whole concept of marriage?

i think marriage is necessary because you need someone close to you who can share every thing with you,i.e body,soul and whole life..

I don't think marriage is a must. don't you see many people get married only because they think it's a necessary step in life, but not what out of deep desire, or follow others around them. They get married for getting married instead of following their own will.
