Do you preference high, mid, or low tempo songs? Or a mix?

This has been interesting me lately because I typically compose mid to higher tempo songs, however in the past few days I have been composing a very slow tempo song (90bpm) with a lot of classical elements. I don't frequently listen to things with a slow tempo like this, but have found through my composing that I really can enjoy it if it is atmospheric and melodic. What tempo do you preference? Or do you like to mix it up? I know some of the better songs in the world have varying tempos throughout (which is great), but what tempo really makes the song for you? I usually listen to metal (though this piece I've been working on is mostly classical and ambient), and one of my favorite songs is "Eradication Instincts Defined" by Dimmu Borgir which starts off at a slow/mid range tempo, then at about half way through the tempo completely changes to a dead on mid tempo, then finally changes to a very fast ending. Its great.

I like quite fast tempo songs especially when listening to soca music (power soca has a bpm of upto 168) but a mixture of tempos is good
