hypertension

i have been diagnosed of hypertension when i was 25 years old... im 29 now... everytime i tell someone that i have hypertension, the remark is always be "you're too young to have that!" does age matter in having hypertension?

Older people are diagnosed with hypertension more often because they often become sedentary and have other health problems that contribute to it, but young people have problems with it, too. Age doesn't really matter.

Age is irrelevant. Although it's not as common for younger people, it does exist. My co-worker has a child (12) who has also been diagnosed with hypertension. It is hereditary in his case. Keep monitering it and get it checked regularly so you stay healthy.

No age doesn't matter when having High blood pressure. Could be hereditary or due to a lot of different factors.
