All of a sudden....

I'm sitting at my computer and suddenly I have a craving for Jacket potato, gratted cheddar cheese and baked beans and I do eat the skin, its the best bit, must be baked on the over and not mircowaved.

Hi monsterj! I've never heard of jacket potato, but I'm interested to know how you make them . They really sound good ! Is it like a stuffed baked potato ? Do baked beans and cheese go inside the potato before you bake it ? yumm ! I would like to give them a try!

Ok sounds similar to yours. Oven around 200C and wash the potato, stab it with a fork and place in the over for around 1.5hrs. Then make sure its cooked inside by using a knife then cut open, sprinkle with a little salt pepper and a knob of butter, cover with baked beans and the sprinkle grated cheese ontop...

I like them better cooked in the oven, but I am usually too impatient to wait that long. I love the skin of a baked potato. It is the best part. I have never had baked beans on one. Sounds interesting. I have a giant baking potato in the kitchen I was thinking about cooking up for lunch.

Try it with beans, open the potato, little salt and pepper, butter, beans then cheese ontop to melt.....tastes great please try it

I like the skin of a baked potato best as well. We always ate them. I thought it was funny when I was an adult all of a sudden they became a very popular appetizer in restaurants. We always knew they were good.

haha i had baked potatoe today, with some white cheader cheese, sour cream, butter and nacho cheese, it was so good. i kinda want some more now.
