Disgusted To Be A Gamer?

I have always been a big gamer and spent a lot of money on video games. Lately as I play games I feel disgusted to be playing them. I feel like my money could go toward something better. It just feels weird to go out and spend $60 on a game that I will only play through 2 times and let it sit on the shelf to collect dust. I also feel like I'm setting a bad example for my nephew who watches me play games and wants to play his own games rather than go out and play. So what I'm asking is do you ever feel disgusted to be a gamer?

Hmm I've never been to fond of borrowing games but it does save a lot of money. The consoles can be very expansive depending on what brand your into but once you have the console that's really the only money you have to spend in your case.

I wouldn't say that I feel "disgusted" per se, but I definitely feel indifferent and feel like gaming means far less to me than it used to. I think as I grow older I'm more interested in achieving and having other things in my life. I've actually been selling off a lot of my gaming collection lately, and only really want to keep games that I absolutely adore.

Yeah I have sold my entire PS2 game collection but I have a decent sized PS3 collection that I probably won't sell. I guess after awhile people lose appeal to things they do often.

I don't know if I'd go as far as to say disgusted, but it has made me feel really lazy and unmotivated with life at times thats for sure. It doesn't take much to become addicted to a video game that's for sure, probably not the most productive thing in the world but hey, I can think of a lot worse ways to be spending my time/ money.

Nope I never been disgusted to be a gamer. I have played some doozies on the game systems I own and have gotten mad that I wasted money or store credit on a game. What I do now is read reviews on a RPG I want to play and see how the users like it. If I still don't like it, then I will just trade the game in and either save the credit for another game or see if there is a game worth buying. Now with money being tight, I don't buy games at full price anymore. I usually either see if someone has traded a game I want used or wait a while until the price has significantly on the particular game.
