Last week I wrote a discussion titled "Family of five in desperate need for a cheap vacation." , what I failed to realize is even though I was thinking what can my family do that is cheap for 2 adults and five kids, my brain just went into a brain fart!!!! It seems that I was so focused on having five kids and the number five was in my brain that I turned my famiy of seven into a family of five. I'm truly sorry for the misinterpritation.. Jeezz oh man I would love to know where my mind has been that it has taken me this long to even realize that I made that mistake. so I apologize for my brain going on a sabatacal and not realizing this sooner.
So let me ask you this have you ever thougt of something and gone to write or type somethingelse and the thing that you were thinking of before was what you typed?

Often, my friend... all too often! I tend to be typing and thinking ahead to what I'm going to say next... everything gets intermingled and comes out gobbledygook! I blame it on my keyboard of course!
I did notice in your discussion that you had five kids and were a family of seven, but didn't say anything. I just carried on as though you'd said seven! ha ha ha
Brightest Blessings, my friend.

huh? I had to read that again, but yes I do think that I have done that before, ya know, gone to write something else but wrote what I had thought of more. The same for typing. The same for if I am talking to someone, I might type that of which they are saying, or write that of which they are saying before I think!

HAHAHAHA! ALL the time, these days! I even change things while I'm in the middle of writing the sentence. Well, I mean my BRAIN changes things for me and fails to notify my fingers of the change, or it's my fingers making the change and keeping it from my brain until after I've read it over.
I've wanted to type words such as "what" and ended up typing "weather". Okay... WTF??? Where the H*LL did THAT come from??? But, sadly, that's the way my brain works these days.
I spent over 20 years typesetting, proofreading and copy editing, mostly medical journals and textbooks. You need to be kinda skilled in the brain department to be able to do this type of job well, and I WAS good! "WAS" being the key word here.
No, it's not dementia... at least I HOPE it's not dementia! I'm on a lot of medications for pain and I'm sure they are having this affect on my brain. It might not look like I have a problem (sometimes, maybe, but not normally) but that's only because I read everything over before I post my responses here.
My brain MAY be cottage-cheese these days, but I don't want it to LOOK like it!

Oh, one more thing (see? I'm also forgetful)! PARENTHOOD has a lot to do with it... I'm convinced of that.
I seem to remember having such a sharp brain BEFORE having kids. I think part of our I.Q. is pushed out with those babies!
