Hello there! I call my mom and she told me, she already start her diet. Last month my mom got sick and must take a rest in the hospital. She have some diabetes and cholestrol more than average. What my mom does everyday from that time is, to walk around my house to make her sweat. She also takes some medicine and change her life style. She eats more fruits, veges and milk. I hope she get well soon and her diet make her healthier. I think, younger like us should start our diet right now and change our lifestyle. I try my best to substitute the chips, choc, and some fast food. It is not easy guys, but I do not want to go to hospital because of my meals. Happy myLotting!

My advice to my patients to control diabetes and overweight (mostly they coexist) is that "Consider it as a bank account, withdraw more and deposit less and the account will shrink." Exercise is withdrawal and dieting is less deposit!

I would like to commend you on your desire to lose weight. The best thing to do is pick up some basic books on nutrition and get a good education on the aspects of dieting or consult a Weight Loss or Personal Wellness Coach for ideas or support. As with anything new there is always that chance of over-doing it, so just make sure you get some facts and a plan together. Dieting can have a drastic and sometimes negative effect on your body and there are right ways and wrong ways as with right and wrong nutrition sources. One of the best books I found was the LA Shape Diet by Dr.David Heber, M.D., Ph.D. Director, UCLA Center for Human Nutrition also he is on the medical advisory board for HERBALIFE. So good luck with your diet goals and if you have any questions you can feel free to contact me and to look at how Herbalife can help you reach a healthy and nutritious balance in your diet and lifestyle.
