dying of cancer. my grandmoher gave me this ring when i was 6, i still was able to wear it on my pinky finger. well i never took it off and the other day i noticed it missing. we just found out in dec that she has cancer and the other night i found out that the surgery didn't work to remove the cancer and things aren't good. i wish i could find my ring to always have a piece of her close to me

So sorry to hear about your Granmother, my grandmother has just recently passed away. It is very sad when we lose a memeber of our family. I know how dear that ring would be to you as it was a gift from her. I just want to say that my thoughts are with you in this hard time and I do hope you find the ring.

thanks you, sorry about your loss as well. it really hurts because she is the only peroson in my family that i am close to and truly love, other than my daughter of course. don't know what i will do with out her. i have made arrangements for a babysitter one night a week so i can go over and spend as much time with her as i can though. she used to like to play tv bingo but doesn't really play alone so i'm going to surprise her this tuesday and bring over the cards to play togheter. i will do it every week unless her kemo is that day then i will figure somethng else for another night

Yes i was very close to my Grandmother and have some very fond memories as a child with her. I think you have the right idea and spend as much time with her as you can as you said she will be delighted with you surprising her with playing bingo. just cherish her while she is still with you.

Oh gosh that really must hurt. I'm sorry for your grandma, and I know how you feel about the ring. I lost a ring special to me that my Mum wore as a child. Even though I only lost it for 15 minutes, I got that panic worry that I wouldn't find it again and I would be really upset as it meant lots to me and someone else would just pick it up. I really hope you can find that ring. And all the best for your grandmother! Just like you to know, if your catholic, when people loose something special to them or someone special goes missing they say a prayer to the saint St Anthony, for he is the saint of missing things. If your not catholic, that's okay, don't worry about what I said.
