What is your definition of "risk"?

For me it is something you try even after knowing that there is a chance that you might not be able to pull it off. I can't remember if I have ever tried something like that. My life has been a bit adventurous but not risky. What have you risked?

I go with your definition. Same as the way I look at it. Well, I have place my life on such situation before. I resigned from my job risking my future and hoping that my plan will work out right. Well, I am glad I made it through....

I think the bigger the risk you take in life the more alive you are. Some risks can give big rewards while others can bring you to your lowest. But if you never try something you will never no the outcome. I never play it safe and it is a thrill doing it. Remember you only get one chance at life.

i kinda go on something if it feels right . I think if it is a huge risk you set things in motion . Like with love . If you are with someone and meet someone else . are you willing to give it all up for a chance to see if you work with that other person . Like for great love i would risk it all i think . Maybe !!!!!!!!! I have a friend i never met from ghana and seeing him is a risk . I mean he might be a fake , a scam , a risk . i never thought of that till lately and that hurts. With a job .... risk it all to leave for something better . what if there is no better ?

taking a relationship to a higher level is often a risk people under-rate, but I figure that depends on how serious you are about the friendship you have and the relationship you could have. If there is not better (anything) why would you risk what you allready have for an impossibility?

Hi. So here we have the couple talking about there risky partnership. Wish you both have a real good life all the way and that too together. By the way, I too think that marriage is a risky thing and there is a lot on stack when we are going for it.

For me it is a bit of fear of loosing something if you try something but still the willingness to go for it. I too don't remember risking anything so far.

risk for me is something you try to get yourself into without having the certain feeling of getting out on a right path or getting a positive feedback..i took risks for so many times and honestly some of the risk i took i became a failure but still i didnt hinder me to be a risk taker..for i know i am learning in every risk that i take..and it helps me to be a better and stronger person than what i used to be..^^

the unknown is a risk, anything that you do not know the end result, buying a lottery ticket, changing jobs, getting married, having a baby, buying a house, playing the stock market, trying a new food, (there is always the risk you do not like it) everything is a risk,

Exactly how you defined it, I often risked my life for simple or odd things that before, I have not thought about clearly before. One time, I risked my self in order for friends to get away from a barking dog when I was still small. When I was on my way to work, I was already late so I jumped off the vehicle that I was riding so that I could run back a couple of blocks. When everything is done and over, I sometimes think that, 'Was it worth risking?' of course, if it wasn't I'd be in more terrible conditions and adimitting that it wasn't worth risking for. (^_^")

I have taken a big risk this time. I have put a lot of money into a venture which has a high risk value. If it is successful then i stand to earn a very good income month after month for the next five years. There is a proper agreement between me and the party on a Rs 100 stamp paper but one cannot take anything for granted. I pray and i hope that it continues without any hitch moreover since i am a retired person and also physically handicapped and without any income or pension.so far i am receiving payments monthly, as a matter of fact the party has given me postdated checks for the next 7 months which they will keep on renewing for the next five years. If you are interested you can send me a pvt message and i will give you more details.

Risk is something that you try even though the consequences could be injury or loss. Not being able to pull it off is not sufficiently sever to call it risk. I have unfortunately done several things that merited that description and paid the price for them every time.

When I was young I took lot of risks in everything but business. I guess even my craft business was a rish because you never knew if you were going to make enough money to get by another week. Fortunately my business grew every year until 07 then the downslide into the mess I find myself in now. I took risks with the people I chose to hang ou with and the things I did. I'm actually lucky to be here at all with some of the things I did. I think the worst risk of all when I was in my 20's was drinking and driving way to drunk. At the time it didn't seem like that but looking back I really took my life in my hands and also my baby's life because he was usually in the car with me. Thats the worst risk I ever took.

Risk is doing one thing at the expense of something else. I can't imagine you haven't taken a risk.

Risk is something which is present in everything you do. There is no sure thing. In banking terms, the proper way to do things is to manage risk. Try to do things which are in your control in order to minimize risk. That way, you leave only little to chance and your chances of failing or not being able to succeed is lessened.

As ana diition to this, let's say you are the adventurous type who wants to do skydiving for example. What you could do is to ensure that the plane you're riding on is properly maintained. Check your gear and ensure tha everything is in place. Go through the proper training to ensure there are no human error during the jump. Now, the only thing you leave to risk/chance is the weather. Therefore you have learned to minimize or manage risk.

well recently i have risked money in the foreign currencies trading, but i know that after risking some amount of money, i will be able to earn a good amount, coz u have to risk a bit otherwise u cant learn. And i am determined to learn it, i had also tried commodities trading earlier at Indian sites, but they needed big investments, but this site which i have chosen has least investment and most facilities to trade. Lets see how much i can succeed.

i will be glad to tell u that the site is a forex site, and if you promise me to be faithful that if u join you will tell me your username there and your e-mail address, coz this site doesn't give you refferal links from the very beginning, if u make 3 people join under u, then they give you the link, and the best part of this site i will tell u raj, that you get 25% of profit of your refferals earning and nothing if they lose, means if you lose some money u can gain money by reffering people also, no other trading site gives u this facility, and there is no commission in trading also, even if u earn as low as 0.25 $ in one trade that is yours. If you are really interested in it, give me your e-mail id in PM, coz u will need lot of help other than the name of the site. I will be there to help you throughout, Thanx for ur interest.

risk = danger. and as i can avoid it.. i will never put myself, my family, my job, my belongings at any risk.. some people like to take 'calculated risk'.. not me.. i prefer something that is 'safe and guaranteed'..

I don't think I have risked much in my life and being careful is my watch word.Having been a mother since the age of eighteen things have had to be risk assessed before anything especially with money and time, not very adventurous maybe I will be an adreline junkie when I retire.x
