yea of course.. i can hardly stand any form of studies.. be it books or lectures.. they just make me doze off.. it is a common practice to sleep during lectures and also wen reading alone.. most people i know do it.. but if u really like a subject or a lecturer then u'll automatically get the interest in that subject n will tend to doze off less during those times :)

Well I am not a student, so thank God I don't have to study for exams anymore. When I was a student, I am lazy and I hate studies and exams. I couldn't help myself but dozed off in classes. I like to read books too but even now, whenever I am reading a book, I fall asleep. So, before I go to bed I always make sure to find some time to read a book or a magazine and sleep nicely :) Good day!

I have to admit, i do! he he he! it happens all the time since the medical books I read are all in fine print and there are less pictures and colors, they are very conducive for sleeping.

Bedtime reading always makes me asleep. As for seminars, I really can't help falling sleep when the session is boring and I lack sleep the previous night. If my interest is agitated though, I can keep myself awake until I finish what I am reading or until the seminar session ends. Here are some things you might try to avoid getting caught sleep during lectures or seminars. a) Always have a good sleep. b) Try to stay near as much as possible to the lecturer. That way, you can stay focus on what he/she is saying. c) Don't eat heavy foods before and during the seminar. Meat and poultry plus lots of carbohydrates will make you sleepy. I hope those tips on how not to be sleepy during lectures help. I'm sure other members will share more tips here.

I fall asleep when I read and I'm tired. I also fall asleep when I'm watching tv. It's usually when I'm tired though.

I will not fall asleep when i'm seriously studying because i will be too focus on it and thus my mind wont be thinking of other things or wandering around.. But when it comes to reading, i will be more likely to sleep, and not dozing off because i simply hated reading.. lol =D I have patience for majority of things but reading is not one of them.. hehe ^_^ I do doze off during seminars too, if i find that it's too boring.. haha =D

I also having that habit.I think that you are better.I fell sleepy when i am entering the class.I started sleeping when the staff opens his/her mouth. It is little bit tougher for me to change this habit. Many of my friends advised me not to sleep in important seminars. But i sleep even in campus interview training sessions.I think i have almost similar character like you.We must change our attitude to get good things in life.I can.You can.We can.

hahaha it's almost impossible for me not to sleep whenever i attend trainings and seminars but what's impt in the end you still get the gist of the seminar and you have learned. same goes when i try to study or read books. usually when i attend seminars there will be course handouts etc which will eventually help me get to date with what was discussed so that helps a lot
