The Mark of the Lion Series by Francine Rivers The first book is: The Voice In The Wind The second book is: An Echo In The Darkness The third book is: As Sure As The Dawn Warning: If you just buy the first book and love it, you won't be able to wait to read the next, and then the next. I finished the first book on a weekend and could not get to the store before after work on Monday. I could not concentrate on my work all that day in anticipation of what was in the second book of the series. These are intensive historical fiction (Christian) that will have you so enthralled that you will run through every emotion. It takes place in Roman Times and there is a dictionary in the back that defines some of the terms you may not be familiar with. I once lent this set to a friend and I received money in the mail instead of the books. She loved them so much that she paid me nicely to for the use of them.

Oh my goodness, I'm in the middle of Voice in the Wind! What a coincidence that I just saw this discussion. I am enjoying the book so far, but no way I can read it in a weekend ;-) I've already had 4-5 sit downs with it.

I'm sorry. It took me at least a week to read it but I finished it up late on a Sunday when all the stores were closed and I had to go to work the next day and couldn't get out to get the second book until after work. I've never had a book hold my attention like that. What do you think of it so far?

My fave book is The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho. It is a short read book and presented in simple English and very relative to anybody's life and aspirations.

I prefer self-developmental books from Dr. leo Buscaglia, Bo Sanchez and John Grey, their books talk about spiritual journey, confronting oneself and how to face life in reality, they are more beneficial. I love reading books about World history too and European monarchy.

Try "How People Grow" by John Townsend and Henry Cloud. It will help you to make sense of your life.
