I just saw on the news tonight that Paul Harvey passed away. I used to listen to him on the radio when I was going back and forth between the college I was going to, and my high school. He definitely has some interesting information to pass along. They said they don't know how he died though.
I wonder what that's going to do with the 'Rest of the Story?'

I had not heard that. For some reason I thought he passed away several years ago.
That perception may have to do with I can remember listening to him when I was in high school. I am 68 now.
I know he left radio some time ago but every once an awhile you would hear him doing a commercial. You are right he had a very distinct approach to giving the news. He was very good at what he did. I too will be very interested to hear the rest of this story.

I've been out of school for almost 11 years, and he was doing his broadcasts when I was a junior and senior. So he must have been doing them for a long while after you graduated.

I heard him with "the rest of the story" just this week, though it was probably taped some time ago. I'm going to miss him. I like his son as well (Paul Harvey Jr) but it's not the same as listening to his Dad.
My first interest in the news blossomed by listening to him. I had a 5th grade teacher that had us listen to Paul Harvey every day at lunch. Before that I thought as most kids do that the news was just boring, but he made it interesting.
