I imagine as you have gotten scared, are things that happen with the small babies. I also took me a great fear because I saw my two year-old daughter fall from the chair in a unbelievable way,she has made the turn on herself, almost twince and she is landed beating the head,in a way that I don't know how to explain. I was distant in the other room but I have turned and while I was racing I have seen her fall. "°.°" !! I have howled I am a very calm person and so much rational, but at that time while she howled I was really frightened...its bump inflated him ...and so much I was frightened that for few minutes my brain has not worked and me due son to hold back for not putting to cry me desperate as her cried!

Nothing apart that bump..I brought her in the hospital ,they made her all controls and I didn't believe it...and I have had the certainty that ,as someone had told me,I have the very hard head ... and my children it seems that has taken from me! :-)

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I had a safety gate between my kitchen and living oom so my boys wouldn't get hurt in the kitchen. One day, I was in the kitchen , dumping a pan of boiling water into the sink, and one of my bots shreiked! It scared me so badly that I ended up dumping the boiling water right on myself and burnig my pregnant belly. Now only was I scared tha one of the boys was hurt becaus eof the shreik, I was also terrified that the burn onmy pregnant belly had somehow harmed my unborn daughter. I had no one that I could call either, so, I first checked on the boys, comet o find out, the youngest had shreiked because my oldest had been chasing him and he fell down. He wasn't hurt, just surprised himself at how hard he fell. I then treated my burn the best I could and waited until my doctor appointment to have it looked at because the appointment was only a couple of days after the incident, and I knew how to tret the burn at home pretty well, besides, it would have been nearly impossible for me to go to the ER with two little boys. I also knew that if any harm had been done to my daughter, there was nothing I could do about it at that point. Thankfully, it was only a secon degree burn and high enough up on my belly that it didn't effect her at all.

Hey marketing07, Well I do not have the similar experience however, my sister was looking after my toddler for me. She had a little cut on her eyelid and with tears the it seem like blood coming out from her eyes. She start to call everyone to ask about this, of course I am out at sea was not able to rush back in time. However everything turn out fine.

I have a son near 6 years old. When he was one or two years age, he made me feel scared innumerable times. I shouldn't let him out of my sight cause i never knew what will be happened on him. He never knew the dangers around him, always climb the ladder or touch the things that children untouched. He ever take the some dirty in his mouth or fall from the ladder or covered by the gate etc. He likes run fast out of my house, i really worry about his safety. But he grow up day by day, I also be free of worry. Don't worry, toddler will be grown up, Take care of your toddler.

wow hearing about that after it has happened, it sounds really funny. but it must really have been scary then. i haven't encountered something similar though there was a serious situation where the door nearly closed on my son's finger. blood was like gushing out, panicking me at first. it was frightening since i'd never seen that much blood on my child. i can understand how you felt.

My girls have both had plenty of accidents and hurt themselves nothing ive ever felt the need to call their dad for though although they both (2 years apart) managed to cut open their head just days before their 2nd birthdays requiring hospital trip and being glued back together thankfully their dad was here both times.

I have a toddler too and she sometimes scared me too. once she fell at the swings and was screaming and when I lifted her, she had her mouth full of blood, however she had bit her lips which was nothing big. Another time she fell of the stairs and had a big fright, fortunatley she had a big shock but she was not hurt. Toddlers are experimenting all the time and they easily hurt themselves even if they are monitiored all time by parents.

the scariest thing that ever happened to me and my child was when we were out in the market and I lost him! He ran away with a toy, and it was unpaid yet, a toy in his hand. He was 2 years old then. I just can't imagine what I'd do if I really lost him. Luckily the store owner actually saw my child who was about to cross the road OMG. While he was there I was busy walking around the place, looking everywhere hoping to catch a glimpse of him. ANd I don't know, I sort of went crazy at that time. I'm just glad he's back, and I'll make sure it will never ever happen again.

My son will be 9 months old on the 9th. A few weeks ago he was in the living room playing with some toys and pretty occupied with himself. I went into the kitchen to make some stawberry juice. I turned to check on him and he was just playing away. I turned back to the sink and started to pour the starwberry stuff into the pitcher. All of a sudden he started to sream and cry. I go to check on him and see what made him cry. And he looks up at me and it looks like blood under his eyes. I start to freak out. I thought he a cut his eye some how on one of his toys. I scoop him up and go to the bathroom to get a washrag so I can wipe it off and see how bad the cut is. While I am cleaning under his eye I notice some of the drink mix on my finger tips. I guess when I bent down to make sure he was ok he brushed against my hand transfering the mix stuff to under his eye. I laughed about it after I caught my breath. I was so afraid he had really hurt himself.
