Family sized or a bigger package does NOT always equal a better value!

I noticed when I was in Walmart grocery shopping a couple days ago the Suave shampoo and conditioner were 96 cents for the 15 ounce size. I wanted the bigger bottles and started to grab the 22.5 ounce bottle until I noticed the price was $1.68. If 15 ounces is 96 cents, shouldn't the 50% bigger bottle be $1.44 or less, NOT 24 cents more. What a ripoff! What things have you noticed that are NOT always a better value?

I always check for the price per egg or the price per kilo / litre when I buy things like food. When it comes to other things I also check since it can be the way you're telling. We have these bigger diaperpacks here and some times they are more expensive than the regular ones, other than that I've only seen it when it comes to ketchup but not at thestore I use to shop.
