What the Quickest way to make one hundred dollars?

United States
March 1, 2009 1:30pm CST
I am attempting to come up with one hundred dollars by tomorrow. I am even trying to basically give away all my collectibles for only one hundred dollars and I am not getting any responses. What should I do? Where should I sell my stuff? Any ideas would be appreciated. Something came up so I have to really work on making the cash today!

Pawn something valuable. Quickest solution I can think of! I don't know if it works the same in the US as here in the UK, but if you give them something for $100, that'll give you time to sort out the money in other ways. Then you redeem your item and get it back, with a teeny bit of interest paid. Either that, or borrow it from a friend!

Yes this is something that I may have to do. I have done it before and you can pay them back with interest.

For a few days' loan, pawn shops are quite cheap. I've done this at desperate times in the past and it costs very little. The nice thing is that if you get a bit stuck, the object pawned is safe for six months (in the UK, anyway). Gives you time to sort out a bit of money without having that end-of-the-month rush!

I would agree with Spike on this one, unless you have any friends/family who will lend it to you, and I presume you haven't as you wouldn't be asking this then, so I would also go to the Pawn Shop like Spike suggests.

The pragmatic solution is make an exchange transaction by using your credit card to one merchant that accept credit card payment. Such as at gas station because it is owned by an individual, I mean easy to mention and negotiate about to solve the desperation issue. They are on much better ideas in giving help related to the credit card usage, the twist and turn. If it doesn't work, last resort ~ pawn shop.

The only thing I can think of is borrow. Maybe you can borrow from someone that has just got their income tax refund. Another responder said to pawn. I know of no other legal way. I can think of some that is illegal if you would like to know I will tell you. (You will have to have a sense of humor to hear these ways.)

if you have any gold jewelery you can sell that or pawn it, or you can jst borrow from someone, dont you have a credit card? if you have you can cash it right? else you can do the other ways like pawn and selling of some valuable ornaments or renting them for some time.

Hi moneymommy... If I needed $100 by tomorrow, I would go to a payday loan place. I know they are a bad habit to get into but it would depend on how bad I needed it. I know in Canada, there are places that you dont even need to have a job.. What about a credit card? There are some with instant approvals and getting them is so slack these days. The pawn shops..you can pay back with interest or let them keep it. Would friends or relatives help? I guess it would depend on how bad I needed it as to what I would try.. I remember when I was much younger and I needed money, I took my credit card for a department store, bought gift certificates in different small denominations,, and went around spending small portions of them on different purchases through out the store..I would take a $20 GC..and spend $6 and get the rest back in change...Dont know if this still works.. Good luck on getting your money!

Do you want the legal answer or really the quickest way to make 100 bucks? There are plenty of illegal activities which can make that amount in minutes. maybe even some legal ones if you get lucky with scratch off lottery tickets. I guess if all that is out you have to sell some of your stuff. If you want to make it quick though be prepared to sell it dirt cheap because everyone wants a super deal right now or they aren't buying.

No I only want legal answers please. I have a lot of collectables listed right now for a extremly low price so I dont see why nobody would buy.

Do you have any neighbors who need baby sitters? Pawn shop? roll all of the coins in the house. Have your kids go to the neibors and offer to take out their trash for a few bucks a piece. Good luck
