Is giving more aid to the AIG good?

According to a report, the AIG, still(?) the world's largest insurance company, will get $30 billion bailout package shortly. The AIG has already been given around $150 billion. Previously the government took proportional stake in the company. This time it is said that the government will not take stake. Is it OK to give this behemoth this amount of money, seeing the overall condition of the economy?
