How do I get more visitors to my blog (without paying money)?

I have a blog that I set up a few months ago. I put information on ways to make money, save money, time saving tips, etc.
I'm really good at saving money and finding ways to make money and my friends suggested I start a blog and write about all the information I have found.
I get a few visitors a day. I want to find out ways to get more people coming to my site. It's a lot of work keeping the blog up and finding interesting things to write about. I enjoy doing it, but only want to do so if people are really reading it.
I don't want to pay for advertising.
what are some free ways I can get the word out? How can I get more people to find out about my site?

Basically what you really need is to do some basic linkbuilding to your blog so that you can get traffic. Here are some of the methods that are effective based on my personal experience as a blogger:
- Social Bookmarking using Digg, Stumbleupon and Mister Wong to create traffic as well as backlinks
- Broadcast using social networking sites like Facebook , Myspace , Etc. (Mylot is a good source of internet traffic).
- Do a Search Engine Optimization on your blog by using proper keywords to associate with your blog.

You can join at traffic exchange, then you put your blog to be visit by another member. That's easy ways to increase the alexa rank. after have high alexa rank you can leave the traffic exchange so you get 'real visitor' from people is using search engine.

Do they have tags that you can put in so people can search? Try to post more photos to attract people to read?

hhmm theres no such thing as free
you either have to invest time or money or both, now as for ways of increasing traffic
theres been alot mentioned already tho adding to the pot try article writing and writing on discussion boards with your site as your signiature
also make sure your site is optimised for search engines including keyword densities, meta tags etc etc

You are in the right place. discussion forums like mylot are perfect for promoting your sight. You should also try bookmarking and social networks. check out this article, which may give you some good ideas:

Hi,
You might want to try setting an account up on twitter, you can follow people who have similar interests as you and then with a little time people will follow you. I did this three weeks ago and I have over 50 followers now. Good luck!
