they are called the Darwin awards because they take themselves out of the gene pool because they are so stupid - honerable mentions are older people that die after they might've reproduced or who survive but can't have kids (shooting themselves in the privetes for example.)

OMG I haven't seen any of the Darwin awards in a long time - I forgot how bright reading them made me feel! It is the families of these thought callenged people who I feel sorry for! xxx
