I'm asking this because my memory is very good for age which is 46! It is good because I like to play mind games in my head! I also do this because I want to have a good memory as long as possiable! It make me feel good I can remember my families birthdays and anniversarys! I also can remember stuff that happen at work that others wouldn't! I also am good just remembering alot of human interest items! How about you?

I have a fairly good memory. I'm a very visual person so for me I do remember more visual things then I do actual "words" etc, but I do recall dates, places, etc. I also have learned that adding Q-10 to your diet can also help improve the memory, as well as some other herbs. Namaste-Anora

Some days, my memory is better than others. If I am having a hectic day, I tend to forget more easily. I know a lady who has played memory games for quit some time, and the ast tiem she went to the doctor for a check-up, she was told that her memory has improved a bit. SHe plays a homonym game each day, she does word and number searches, jigsaw puzzles, and plays bingo. This woman suffers from a seizure disorder and has seizures all the time, sometimes as many as 5 or 6 in a day. I am very proud of her for commiting hewrself to doing what she can to improve her memory. My lack of memory, in my opinion is attributed to stress and nothing else. In general, I keep my mind active enough to preserve my memory. I am able to remember numbers very well, and conversations, often verbatim,(which drives my hubby crazy at times), and things such as which client wants what done a specific way and which don't, which houses my kids deliver papers too (we have 120 papers each day), and all the day to day things and appointments that my family has to deal with.

so you are good at playing mind games. Old people love to do the crossword puzzles. What shirt were you wearing last tuesday?

I believe in brain games. I read books talking about different games respectively good for right and left part of our brains. But i believe the best way to keep good memory is by working. When on job, you naturally keep regular physically and mental exercises, so to speak, and your memory is in good shape. After retirement, I have to purposefully find things to fill in my time, keep my brain on gear.

What kind of mind game do you play? I am sure that all of us could use a way to boost our memories. I just try to eat brain food, I guess. That is my way of keeping sharp. Not sure if it is working, but hey I hope that when the day comes for me to remember, I do. LOL
