sadly,i read about a book every day or two. if its a longer book, it can take me up to 3 days, but i am a really fast reader and i read every night before i go to bed. i say sadly, because it takes a lot for me to be able to keep myself in books. right now i am out and have nothing to read, so i end up reading the same things over and over again.. it can be really boring. i do paperbackswap which is good, but the delay sucks

I really enjoy reading, and besides reading my Bible, I love to read Christian novels when I crawl in bed every night.

That's not an easy question, because I read so much I would say like 10 plus books a month, not including the ones I may chance to see when visiting a friend and have to ready quickly so that she can finish reading it, or return it to the next person she borrowed it from. Right now since I do not have cable, I am reading a book in a day or two day when business is slow.

I do, but never seem to have as much time as I did once. Now, I am lucky to finish a book in a couple of months, though what I read is usually considered "academic reading" When I read more often, I aimed to finish in a couple of days.

I love reading and I am reading. After trying to read book by book, nowadays I am trying read about five to six books simultaneously, in that in different time intervals I read different books. This is mimicking my own college study days. This way, I am able to read more- or so I feel. For one thing it beats boredom.Second, over a period of time several books get completed. But it would be difficult to say what I complete in one month!

Wow, 5 or 6 simultaneously! Question: Are you reading too serious kind of books? Else if the books are interesting, surely you will want to devour each book so quickly that you won't have time to turn to a new one.

Excellent guess! The books I am reading are so serious that most people fall asleep. There! somebody asked here on myLot asked what is the best cure for insomnia? Nothing like a very serious book.[em]wink[em] So, instead of using the book for falling asleep I keep changing them, so that I don't give up on boredom. Yes you are right again about an interesting book not letting you sleep till you complete. Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons are the two books I read in one night each!

I love to read. Unfortunately, as a mom, I find that I just don't have the time, or, if I do, then I don't have the attention span for it. But, when I was younger, I would breeze through five or six books a month. I'm going totally chic right now, but I used to love historical romances.

I made a commitment to read a book a week, and I have kept that commitment up for over 25 years now. Reading is one of my passions!

I love to read. I read almost everyday. I started tracking how much I read this year, and I think I did pretty good. I read 16 books in February and 19 books in January. I plan to read at minimum 15 books a month. I read plenty of fiction, and my current addiction is paranormal romance novels. I participate in monthly reading challenges to keep me motivated. So many books, so little time..LOL

I read constantly. I always have. I own several hundred books - and this does not include books I have given away after reading over the years. I also read very fast. I have never been or taken a speed reading course, I just read quickly. It drives everyone I know and am related to crazy. I read fast and retain what I read. But I enjoy it, so am sure that is part of it. I read, on an average and depending on how much time I have each month, about 6 - 8 books a month. About 2 per week. And yes I do use the library as well! I have a book on the side table in the living room, on the side table in the bedroom, in my purse and in my car, so that anytime I have to wait or am bored, etc I have a book to pick up and read!

I like reading, but mostly I enjoy hearing a good book read to me. So if there is a book I would actually like to read, I'd do searches online for the audio versions of those books. A lot of the old popular books are now offering this service as a means to appeal to the vision impaired folks. Although I'm not vision impaired by no means, I still like to take the time to listen to a book rather than read it myself. I do read books to my kids from time to time. Primarily my 3yr old will ask me to read books that she has heard over and over and over again. I know she knows the story, because she'll chime in at the parts that she really likes to hear or are excited about. So if those books count, I read about 5 consistent books per month, outside of the bible.

I never read a book in a month. I prefer reading newspaper than books. Now I read from the Internet mostly and I just found out there is a product called audio books online but I have not try them before. The last book that I had finished reading from front to end and page by page is 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' by Robert Kiyosaki.

I could read ten or fifteen books in a month if I had the time. I only have time to finish one book every two months though. I used to curl up on my couch and read a book in one sitting all afternoon...those were great days

I love to read, and used to read all the time...I would venture to guess that I used to read about 5 books a week. Lately, I just can't manage to find the time. Between kids in sports and sick parents, plus I have a very good friend that has congestive heart failure and I have been taking her back and forth to the hospital/doctor, etc., that I rarely have time to read, or I am so tired by the time I get home, I can barely keep the book open. I am hoping my schedule opens up soon so I can continue my reading.

my family - taken on 2007_06_17
I love to read and with no job and kids off to school my average is around three to four books in a week. I read while I cook or wash clothes or whatever I am doing. Give me a grasping book and I will stay up all night to finish it. I often wonder if I should have done librarian course or may be opened a book store as its really hard for my family to drag me out of both. I just love reading too much. Thankfull so does my huby and now my kids too. Infact I have a picture to share where all three of them are reading books before going to bed, even my daughter who was just a year old then and even didn't knew which is the right way of reading a book but still she pretended to read.

Hi nilouette, Sure I like reading. I read a lot. I normally borrow 1 to 4 books every 3 weeks or less (that's the standard deadline for library books here). It's hard to say how many books I read in a month since I don't keep track. Sometimes I read more ferociously and sometimes I can borrow just 1 book and need to renew it still for another 3 weeks.

I average about 4 books per month. Of course this will depend on other activities, how much down time I have, if I'm trying to knit something for someone and on and on the distractions go. I do try to find some time to read every day.

I really enjoy it but I only read one or two every week. Still it helps me get by, and they are long books(300 pages or so).

Read a lot, about 12 to 15 books per month. Half fiction and half non-fiction, depends on my mood. Usually read 2 books concurrently. One is bedtime reading, and the other book will be in my bag, to read when queuing up at the supermarket, on the journey to work, during lunch time or any other time. Since I do not watch TV, that free up at least 2 to 3 hours at night for reading.
